    My day so far!
School run. Popped in to the shop, briefed the staff on what's to do, dealt with a few early doors customers and then went out Shopping.
Armed with half of yesterday's takings, £65 I went out spending on clothes for the second floor!
I need a quick injection of newer stock, so went to Three different charity shops that are in towns a few miles away. And spent spent spent!
I get a buzz from buying clothes and getting good deals, so spending the shops money on beautiful or practical clothes was fun. Now I need to give it all a once over. Check for repairs, Upcycling or anything else, and then wash, iron and price up. Allowing me to clear out a few bags of clothes they are to replace.
I am now home, to have Lunch and then to do
    Some housework/home jobs!
    School run at 3.15
    Evening at home.

Bought a thread cabinet on eBay for 99p! But now I need to get it from Ashford in Kent up here.
Hoping Twin1 and her bf will oblige. As woman won't package it up for a courier. ( even at my expense!).
Fingers crossed the planets are aligned and good vibes get through so I can get my threads sooner rather then later.

This morning DGD is off to Breakfast Club, and I am off to Banbury for a mornings course on Digital Media. Mmm I am hoping to learn a lot on a subject I know nothing about. So as I know nothing it is obvious I will at least learn something today.
I have yet to hear back from twin1 about packaging up my cabinet, but feeling optimistic that I will get my cabinet somehow.
My old staff is opening up the shop for me as I'm on the course and my new one is on her holidays. Hopefully I will cope the rest of the week, just with my sewing ladies.
Had a message from the boys old foster parents to say they are doing well and are off on holiday abroad today. Comforting to know someone is getting news, and hopefully we will get our letterbox contact in June as agreed. Soon.

Welli may not have had a productive day sewing, but the course was interesting and took some of the mystery out of digital media for me.
Shop was still standing on my return, always a good thing, and plenty of people in through the doors.
Now it's time to rummage through the fridge etc and try to russell up something tasty to eat!

Ooh! There is a new look to the forum. Not sure I like it much. Suppose it's progress though. I started to sell off the remnants etc that I have been hording. I decided to advertise it on Facebay, at £1 as metre to get some space. Sold 80 metres!!
Still hardly made a dent in it.
Tonight I am taking DGD to a friends birthday party. He has Huntingdon's desease and is only 30!
It is a terrible illness. and it has affected him badly at a very early age.

In talks with local Brownies to do a sewing session or two!
Love teaching the kids, but has to be carefully planned, supervised etc. Don't fancy anyone else sewing through their fingers.
The birthday party went well. The sad part was seeing the various degrees of damage such an illness does to a family.
I think my next fund raising work must be to benefit the research into such a wicked desease.
    Night night people.

Late nights are taking their toll on me. I am shattered.
Being in the shop on my own is quite tiring as your up and down all the time to serve the customers etc
Sold a few more metres of my stash today. They will be back they said. I will have to find time to value what I have really, as the things that are being bought are naturally all my best stuff. So although I need to be cheap, I think that they are a little two cheap.
Certain pieces should be as priced I think.

Had a better sleep, and no alarms to wake me. So was nearly 10 when I woke. DGD was amusing herself in her room on the kindle. No waking Granny at a silly time. Yeah.
Need to go shopping today for my other granddaughters presents. She was 4 yesterday, and we are seeing her on Monday.
I didn't manage to finish one job yesterday that's needed for Tuesday, so I will need to go in as early as possible to finish it. It won't take long but it would be Sod's law the lady comes in at opening time if I don't get there earlier. Luckily for me, DGD is booked into all day at holiday club from 8am till 6pm so I will have time as I don't open until 9.30
I don't always take her as early as that but the options available are either all day, or 9-3 which is no good as I shut at 5. But it gives me options. @ £25.50 a day it's doable.
Time to get a move on and get shopping .

The helicopters are flying high looking for that murder suspect in Oxford. Yesterday the Uni parks were sealed off and as we had stopped at a friends and walked in, it meant a lot of walking. Bit to much for me really. So last night we decided to stop here. Although we will have to go soon, as DGD2's BBQ is at lunchtime. Hope the rain stays away.
I got what I wanted shopping but was most upset in Primark. There was a reduced rail, I picked up a top that had orange price stickers reduced to £1 but when I got to the till it came up as £3 so I queried it. The supervisor implied that I had swapped the price tickets! The woman was awful. I will not be shopping in Primark again in a hurry. I'd like to say never again, certainly not that store, but sometimes they are all my budget runs too. I was embarrassed and indignant too!
I think I will have to put a bit more in the clothing budget and less in the food one! So I can get things elsewhere when the time comes.

The murderer was found this evening, my friend was near the scene when the body was taken away. He was only a few fields away from where DGD and we were yesterday afternoon! Scarey thoughts.
Anyway today we were miles away at my Biggest of Mooloo's house for a BBQ. It was a bit chilly but we are British so we carry on regardless!
I misplaced my mobile for a while today, in the car, dispite looking several times, I managed to locate it through the find my iPhone app.

Back to work tomorrow. My mind has been there most of the weekend, as I'm aware I have an urgent job to do.
