I will probably need full leathers !! But yes I will get a helmet as I want DGD to use hers I must lead by example!
Why am I still up? Watching a programme about Barry Sheene. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Shouldn't have stayed up so late!
Although I have been awake for a few hours I'm not yet up! Really lazy start to the day. First cup of tea finished then got sidetracked on Pinterest! Oh dear.
Better get on with my day now.
DGD needs a hair wash before we venture anywhere. I did my menu plan and shopping list last night ready for a trip to Aldi.
DGD needs new Plimsols and school shoes for tomorrow. So I must get on and go out as sch starts tomorrow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well after DGD had a bath, play and hair wash it was lunchtime. So a quick sandwich before heading off to Northampton to shoe shop for school tomorrow. Plimsols, trainers, boots and two pairs of trousers and £40.50 lighter.
Then DGD stopped with my parents for half an hour while I went to Aldi for the food shop. I stuck to my list except for an addition of 4 yoghurt pots.
I had priced up on Tesco @ £31.74 Asda @£28.97
But my shopping with everything came to £24.27
That's not a bad saving.
I can happily live with that as a frugal start to the new year.
I don't get time to follow all the threads I used to do, but do still want to save money again this year.
I am having problems on my laptop and have been trying to sort it out, a lot of deleting and reloading of programmes, and it starting again. It's taking ages to do and all I wanted to do was update my accounts further.

I think I will be asleep before Silent Witness starts!
I'm tired.
Back to work tomorrow, will be a shock to the system no doubt. But I'm ready to go back now. I wonder how I managed before when I was not working for 5 years! Other then dealing with family issues etc of course.
I'm definitely getting restless!
So TV in bed for a little while I think, hopefully a good nights sleep, and a proverbial spring in my step to work.
I won't be using the bike until I'm confident and the weather is better.
If I get a break and it's nice on Wednesday then I may try a little ride. But I don't know. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Ps. I believe DS and his GF are currently staying in the local travel lodge in Towcester. Biggest said their stuff is in storage in a garage and the place was left clean etc so the landlady should give them back the deposit.
Wonder if I will get it back or if it ends up on the bill for the travel lodge. Although I hope the council will be helping with that. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Morning, I think! Kept waking up through the night, my mind was too busy.
I tried some of the Mindstore programming techniques. It's not very easy when my mind keeps wandering off. My visualisation isn't very good yet. But I mentally describe the scene to myself and try. But I tried the clock on the wall idea. Imagine the clock, the time I needed to wake up etc, and every time I woke for the loo or whatever, I thought of the clock. I actually looked at my clock at 6.31 and as I was aiming for 6.30 I'm chuffed. So no harsh alarm waking me. ( though I did set it for 7am just incase). Programming my mind to focus on images I can't see yet, is rather difficult, but heyho who said it would be easy.
Time to launch into the day, wake DGD and get her to school, and get back into work. I had a phone call at home from a customer. She got me via Google apparantly. Given her the shops number now. So expect at least one new job in today.
I have enough work for today already.
I hear DGD. I better get moving. Catch up later. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
It was great to get back to the shop today. Two people rang up about lessons, one already paid by BACS for a course.
Another came in to book a course - 6 week one, and an enquiry. A few pairs of trousers to shorten. Jeans crotch to patch, and a zip in a jacket. Not bad. A few browsers in too. I took the last hour or so to make some cushion covers, - for Fun. Maybe for sale later.
This evening I'm washing the sofa covers ( because DGD spilt her black current all down it. And her school uniform). When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well two hours of drama on TV, last nights Broadchurch followed by tonight's silent witness. But I did some hand sewing, another doily table runner while I watched. Bit achey back now though, so heat pad going on when I go to bed tonight. ( as soon as I have finished my cup of tea!)
Which won't be very long.
Tomorrow I plan to go in early, as I want to finish the cushion covers while it's quiet, and before I tackle the jobs that came in today.
One of my aims is to include time in my days to actually be creative instead of just doing alterations.
( if at all possible)
Right time to finish my tea and go to bed. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
