Hi Mooloo , I don't usually post , but I do read avidly and admire your strength so much.
I have a bit of an "up and down" situation with my adult children too , and I gain such a lot from reading your posts.
My thoughts are really with you at the moment , I send good thoughts to your dad and hope things improve.
Like someone else said , if you don't get away now (and maybe you wouldn't relax if you did) , there will be other opportunities for you. You will make the decision that is right for you.
My thoughts are with you and your family xx

So sorry to read about your Dad's infection. All you say about him points to the fact he is a fighter. Really hope things improve.

Should I post? Should I grieve alone, worry and whittle.
My Dad has suddenly become ill. He went in for a routines examination and is now on life support machines.
I don't need loads of sympathy, etc I just have always written my diary, and so I am trying to do what I usually do.
    We are all in shock.
Of course the shop was closed.
    The holiday cancelled.
When I got to the hospital he was fighting the oxegyn, trying to tell us stuff, rambling and very ill. With in minutes he was moved to ITU and put to sleep to have life support.
His heart is enlarged, he has kidney failure, liver fsilure and heart failure, and they are treating his Tumor as cancerous until they get any other indications.
At lunch time we were told he is dying. They didn't expect him to survive.
Last Thursday he was doing the shopping in Waitrose. Clearing out the old caravan ready to exchange it on Monday for the new one ready to go to France for the summer.
Now my brother and sister are driving from France to us. There is an sir strike in France!!
I am exhausted. Feel so unreal, and trying to keep it together for my Mum.
Ringing elderly relatives, grandchildren, and best friends.
Nobody can believe it as he'd never been ill in his life, bar flu.
DGD is with her Mum. So I can be here with my Mum. We have come home to try and get some sleep now.
Life is surreal. I wore the new dress I made last week, and all the staff were talking about my beautiful dress. My Daddy was able to see me, and the scan picture of the next one due. Before he was sedated.
    Random. Sorry.
If you ever pray, please pray for the stubborn old Warrent Officer who rules my family with the precision of army manoeuvres even though he was RAF!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Last year my gran had a stroke. We were told she was dying. They started end of life care. Told us she may last a few days or a week. She is still alive now. It took a long time but she is mentally sound again after long period of delusion caused by the stroke.
I'm not saying this will be your experience only to share some hope with you.

Awww Lovely I'm so sorry things are so bleak for you.
Keeping you and your family and especially your Dad in my thoughts and prayers (I became a big believer in the power of prayer when my Mum was seriously ill and not expected to pull through - the most unexpected people were praying for her- and I do believe it made a difference -and it doesn't matter if you call it prayer or the power of positive thinking - the universe listens)

Big hugs - try and get *some* sleep tonight

My sister has just arrived. ( so they have the bed and I am now on the sofa. I am glad as I was having nightmares.)
Too many times I have nodded off to be woken by myself silently screaming. Least I hope it was silent.

Oh dear Mooloo, tears are rolling down my cheeks as I read the latest developments. I was in your situation 12 years ago so I feel your pain. I'm not a religious person so praying is alien to me but I'm sending you all the positive thoughts I can muster to give you the strength to keep going. And I know you will because you are one of the strongest women I've ever had the pleasure to come across. We're all here for you sweetheart, just take it an hour at a time, and draw on the strength we're all sending to you ((((hugs)))) xx

Praying for strength for you, dear Mooloo. Praying for your father, for your mother and the rest of your family.

    Stay strong, my dear. xxxxx
