I will ask biggest to guide them as they listen to her. Thankyou.

Life is busy, busy to say the least. I am snowed under. I shall be working into the evenings, and beyond I think for the next few weeks at least.
I had a lady who recently started to sew with me on a Tuesday there today. But she is incredibly slow at the moment, and will need quite a bit of training up. I had a chat with another lady that lives close to the shop, and I may give her a few jobs that I create to see if she is any good. I am also interviewing another lady tomorrow afternoon. I shall be staying on after I close at 12. And will be bringing the small jobs back from the shop to do at home. The housework fairy will have to be employed!!!
The machines have arrived today. So I am hoping to catch up ASAP.
I am home now and waiting for my Asda Delivery.
The fresh fruit and veg etc came this morning, but I needed store cupboard stock.

Spent the evening unpicking zips ready for replacements today.
So I was working until just after 10pm
This morning I am hoping to have a good run on some of the jobs that have been waiting the longest, as they were don't rush jobs, or no rush jobs.
With around 60 to do, I'm never going to be idle that's for sure.
I'm interviewing this afternoon before I come home for my so called afternoon off. I will be sewing again later at home no doubt. But will need to tackle some housework, it is a mess!
I miss my lovely lady who used to clean ( and tidy) for me!
And I haven't mastered the art of Mari Kondoing, apart from my wardrobe and set of drawers!!
    One day! :(
Here is to a more productive day then yesterday. So many interruptions. I'm just hoping there is no last minute rush for the Appliqu! lessons.

Hi MooLoo two weeks ago you were worried that there wasn't enough work - such a change in a short time. You do need a way of dealing with these peaks I hope you can find a good outworker as that would really help. And something has to give at home if you are to do this amount of hours at work not everything can be done by you in 24 hour days!

I am interviewing people at the moment. Fingers crossed.
I am also looking for a cleaning lady to help at home.
As this is my first year I don't have a way of predicting when I will be busy or not yet. But as my advert still hadn't gone out and I am getting so many new and repeat customers then I hope to be predicting that this is just the beginning. Staff will be needed!!

Well I didn't get as much sewing done as I would like. But I have found a lady who does accounts, and she will come in after Easter and give me a hand.
I interviewed a girl who can sew the basics, but is willing to learn etc for part time help.
I had help this afternoon to blitz the bathroom and kitchen and de-junk, and she is one of my friends and loves cleaning! So she's going to help out at home to get me back on track.
One of the men who I do alterations for, who is out of work is going to come over next Wednesday afternoon and help me with the garden.
The business window cleaner is going to add my house into his rounds when he is up this way.
Then this evening I have had a local lady who is a costumier, and bag maker contact me about helping with workshops/alterations, so I am seeing her Tomorrow.
On the down side the babysitter for Saturday can't make it, but biggest of Mooloo's is stepping in for me.
I have done a spread sheet of which jobs need to be tackled by when, and sorted out my threads etc, and know what I need to do, zips ordered etc so feel much more in control.
So I have had a bath, with bubbles, candles and a cup of tea, and now it's time for bed.

I slept much better, although I still feel tired and I was up a few times. My dreams were not nightmares which is a positive.
The bank balance is slowly building up, and we will have the rent, and wages money without me having to subsidies it. A huge relief, and I still have £375 to go in to cover the overlockers that were purchased.
With a lot of jobs still to tackle.
As the house is looking less bomb site and more home, I certainly feel more in control, and I know what jobs I need to do today. It will be quite busy for at least the next week, and I shall look forward to my few days away in the Easter break.
Tonight is week two for my sewing course. So it's all about Measurements, and reading patterns, and pattern choice. Not much actual sewing today.

Been interviewing while trying to sew and serve! My staff couldn't make it today, but my cleaning fairy lady popped in this afternoon and did some vacuuming etc for me.
I am feeling a bit scared, excited. And hopeful. I met a lady who is a costumier in theatre, who will freelance for me, when needed ( if try out works), and then this afternoon I met a mature lady who can do my reception/nearly new clothes. She was very forthright, had her head screwed on, and although not a sewer, she can organise, sell etc.
I am going to give her a trial anyway. Gut feeling and all that.
So tonight I have dashed home, fed us, and now I'm going back to work to teach.

sold another sewing machine this evening to one of my new ladies. When another lady collected her machine she triggered the interest and I didn't need to 'sell' at all.
Lesson went well, and now I am home and can relax.
