Hi, Mooloo, I hope you and your family are having a lovely Christmas.... and leaving the shop closed until at least next Monday.

    Thank you.
It was a lovely day, but strange without DGD.
Mum was well, and we went to Biggests for our meal. It was a busy household with 10 adults and four children. I got to feed the baby and change his nappy.
We got a lift back home to Mum's at 6 o'clock and spent the evening watching Strictly, call the midwife and downton abbey.
My cousin gave birth to a little boy this morning at 7.15 I think my brother said. So my mum now has 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

The day has been a lazy one, watching tv, snacking and not much else. Still feel very strange without my little monkey.
No work till Tuesday also seems strange.

    Glad Christmas went well.

Just a thought, have you considered going into the shop tomorrow while its shut and getting some stuff done so you can have time off when DGD comes home.

I used to love going into work when people didn't know I was there to get a jump on the post holiday rush!

I'm in on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will be more or less experimenting and making things as I had caught up with most jobs before Christmas, I basically left only enough work for the other dressmaker to do as she needs 10 hours worth of work.
I will then be closing at 1pm and expecting DGD back that afternoon, and we will then have Thursday - Monday night together before she goes to school on the Tuesday and then I re-open.

Today I'm with friends in Oxford and if the sun continues to fight through the clouds we may go for a walk through the fields and into Town via Uni Parks.

Well planned Mooloo, lovely to have those days planned with DGD she will need you there when she comes home.

Have a lovely break I hope this sun shines, no sign of it here.

While the men play with a remote control Helicopter in the kitchen, I have time to think about the coming year.
I write a new thread on here every year, and am always amazed at how many people follow me on my journey. From my struggling with babies and bills in the early days, through my stormy relationships, and my health changes.
This year I am moving forwards at a great speed of knots in most aspects of my life. It's not all simple and straight forward, but on the whole I think things have improved year on year.
Who would have thought I'd be able to ditch the walking sticks, get off of ESA and build a business!
That I would have come this far since I started is just amazing.
In 2016, I expect things to be bigger and better, and although I don't see much of the three new babies, they all seem to be surviving and doing well.
My son seems to be coping, my eldest is planning her wedding for 2017,
Twin1, DGDs Mum seems to be happy living with her partner's family and twin 2 has a new boyfriend I believe.
Non of them have asked me for any money since my scare in September when briefly the housing benefit etc stopped.
Have they finally accepted the bank of Mum is closed?
    I hope so
My plans for 2016 are to clear the credit card debts that have sneaked in
To spend lesson food and drink and eat from the stores instead of driving to mr T after work and grabbing a ready meal.
I want to change my car this next year as its getting old.
I want to change the shop around even more, stop the second hand clothes, and use my skills if time allows to do more of my makes.
I want to pay myself more than a token wage too.
Eventually I would like to be able to get off of benefits.

I will need a new title for the thread too.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

The first one could be a good one.

I would like to wish you all the best for the coming year.

You have achieved so much in a short period of time. You should be so, so proud of yourself.

I look forward to following your progress in 2016.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your break.
