  • Pretty happy with myself today. I had a Shopitize voucher code for 1 pound if I bought a pack of chocolate fingers, so was going shopping anyway & got them for 85p in MrT :jHave uploaded now & the money is in my account balance along with the other bits I bought.

I also picked up 3 receipts so uploaded them to Clicksnap for 1p each ad COS for prize draw entries.

How strange. I've had no trouble at all. Getting credited both sides.

I guess I'm lucky too because I upload my receipts to my COS, Clicksnap and my hubby's COS. 3p for one receipt.

  • I forgot to say thanks bob for the idea about coinstar. Found a penny coin under the coinstar machine at sainsbob yesterday. I wombled 2p at the car park at work this morning. Hubby wombled a 2L mineral water from his ward last Friday, he rescued it from being thrown away. I can't really understand why people would want to throw a perfectly sealed mineral water, when it doesn't go off or expire. Such a wasteful habit. And we're supposed to economising in the NHS?!

5p found in the garden centre car park and three 2p coins by the chicken food in the country store section today. Also picked more fruit from our orchard - have 5kgs of Victoria plums and 26.5kgs (!) of a small, as yet unidentified, dark red sweet apple and a kilo of cooking apples. I'm sending Small into school with a big bag of fruit for his class tomorrow :) Gotta love a teacher's pet lol.

Hi all, just came back from DH's niece's bday party - free supper yay! And lots of take home food that will be lunches for the next few days. Is this considered as a womble? I didn't have to buy a present as I had a nice dress which I bought ages on sale - I think I paid only £2 /£3 for it, normally £25. Yes it's a YS too. Because I was in such a rush after work, I didn't have time to look for my to re-use gift bags. The only thing I could find was a gift bag that features a half naked man with a 6pack (actually more like a 36 pack wink wink) I didn't think it was appropriate to give to a 14 yr old teenager so I made my own gift bag using my reused gift wrappers. It wasn't just nice it was creatively MSE too. Aside from the free food it was nice to reconnect with family and friends.

As predicted I struggled to stay awake during my early shift today after having done 3 night shifts in a row and only one day off. Even after a nice long hot bath and freshly changed bed linens I didn't nod off til 4 am this morning and had to get up at 6am. With only two hours sleep I felt like sleep walking at work all day. No amount of caffeine could sort me out. Just as well I was only in til 3pm.

After work I dashed off to my local asd@ to catch some YS goodies but i was too late. I managed to get a few croissants for 5p and W@rbs toasties for 5p and some non sale items . Total came up to £12. Not as good as my usual haul but will try again later. Maybe I should have listened to the still small voice that told me to try Morris which I ignored in favour of the more familiar schedule in asd@, only it didn't work. Unfortunately I still have to go @ldi tomorrow due to another shopping list OH handed me when I got home. On the plus side, I wombled 2 receipts both of which yielded 52p price guaranteed vouchers for the 2. And I will upload them on CoS and Clicksnap. I can also claim 25p cash back on the fresh milk on shopitise.

I'm going to bed soon to try and catch up on my lost sleep. I wish you all a good night. See you all tomorrow.

    Hi All

Great to read all the updates on peoples Wombles over the weekend!

MoneyMission - Your welcome :) yes the chocolate finger offer has been very popular from what I hear.

TOG - I love that you are finding the tips helpful, its so cool :) I think that anything that is free to you & saves you money is a womble. So yes to the food definately. The shopping apps are addictive arent they.

    Muhren - Well done!

Dizzy - You are doing so well on the roadkill front :) I bet his class will be thrilled with the free fruit :)

I was looking through my enormous bag of carrier bags (don't ask!) and have found receipts with 100+ unredeemed Sains points plus another with 9 from T's however some are as old as January this year. Does anyone know whether there's a time limit on getting points put onto your card? My husband is useless at handing over his loyalty cards and I didn't realise before reading this thread how much I'm losing out on - 100 points is worth something I'm sure. I signed up with Clicksnap, Shopitize and CheckoutSmart so can some expert tell me what I do now to make the most of these receipts please?
Thanks in advance! Also, why doesn't anyone put the real store names on here???

    Hi Kessick

    Both good questions.

Sadly yes there is a time limit which is very short for having points credited. It differs per store but is usually less than 14 days. So sorry to hear you've found all those now. You could try taking them in anyway but I really doubt you'd have success (I'd love to be wrong)

I remember thinking the same thing and actually thought Mr T's was some kind of northern discount store I wasn't aware of (lol)

The more I talk to people on here and around the threads the reason seems to be to disguise your comments from popping up in search engines which the big stores may use to see what customers are saying. If we are having discussions about a glitch then it means they can shut it down quicker. Or if anything else like wombling may mean they read it and decide to close it down a bit more. Probably paranoia to a certain extent :)

Now you are on the right track with reciepts you can start from now claiming points and checking to see if any items are on the reciepts that you can claim.

    Good luck

I check regularly for receipts in my dh's coat pockets and car.

I wombled 12 cherry tomatoes, a chocolate dessert and a peach at work (all left-overs from business lunches).
