You can use them in loads of different shops. I could do with a new pair of jeans so I will see if I can use them towards them.

  • I found a MrT receipt in the trolley I grabbed in home bargains this afternoon, so uploaded that to COS & CS for the prize draw/1p. My OH also went shopping today so I've grabbed his receipt ready to upload & also got a price promise voucher for my next shop. Only 33p but better than nothing : )
  • Have any of you seen M&S are now starting their own reward scheme called Sparkles? I was in there today & the checkout cashier offered me one as I was paying for my items. I've grabbed one now, I assume it's fairly new because they had staff by the entrance offering it out to people as they walked through the door too. I don't know what the benefits are yet but I grabbed a card anyway & the cashier said to just go online to register the card, so I'll do that later.

Just posting this here in case anyone else has similar issues.

I reached the £4 payment limit for Shoptize this weekend. In fact my balance reads £4.15. I tried to withdraw to BACS as it's free. However each time I tried it failed.
I contacted them. Initially they said for me to try again removing any characters from my name that might be written in wrong in the payment screen. Having done this about 3 times I contacted them again and said this really isn't working.
At which point the customer service guy writes to me to say I have a 'rogue reciept ' for 25p which is showing as ok at my end but has a flag for them. I said ok what can we do? They then said they could offer me 25p via PayPal, & then wait till I upload another reciept to get the payout limit from them!
I said can't you do anything about this system flaw. Apparently not...

So just putting it out there in case any other wombles are affected.

  • Just a quick update on the M&S sparks card for you all. It doesn't look like it's a traditional reward card earning points etc. Instead it is a card that you load deals on to, so for instance I activated my card last night & I had 5 deal options to choose from (only 1 allowed though). The deals were 10% off various departments, so I chose 10% off homeware as I know I'll get a few things at Christmas time but the departments to choose from were food, menswear, womenswear & beauty I think.

So I don't think it would be great for wobbling as it doesn't look like you collect points or anything. I think they monitor your shopping through it then when you scan it in the store & offer you deals based on your shopping.
