I'm back from vacation! 3 weeks away from work and home; 1 week at parents', 2 weeks on an island. We have spent a lot of money (compared to our noirmal spending), but it was worth it. Dh joined me and my dds the last week on the island and it was our very first family vacation ever!

On the island I managed to womble a few coins (sorry, I did not keep track), and 5 free soft ice creams.

That sounds wonderful. Horray for holidays :)

So todays Womblings, have been pretty good.

I did a shop for work at Mr S which generated a £0.15p brand match when compared to Mr A.
As part of that I bought a Semi skimmed milk for 69p instead of £1 (+£0.31)
Uploaded the reciept to Shoptize for 0.25p
Upload the same reciept to Clicksnap 5p
There was a Triple Mr S points voucher sticking out of SS machine gives a value of 0.24p to the overall transaction.
Also sticking out coupon giving the bearer £6 or 1200 in nectar points on a £60 shop. I haven't included that here as I haven't realised that coupon.
1p roadkill outside Mr S as I packed my bike!

Then later on I went back to Mr S on my way home to use some tips cash for shopping. Whilst there, I wombled several reciepts. One of them had a Schwartz spice purchase on it, so I uploaded that to COS for a £0.75p reward.
I uploaded 2 reciepts from that haul to ClickSn@p as I am now over the limit for COS till they reset it (0.10p)
Another reciept had an unclaimed 12 points on it which works out £0.06p in value.
    Found 1p outside the shop.

    Tips jar = £2

Total for the day = £3.78

Wow Bob - that's a great day! Your total for the year to date is amazing - I'm so going to try harder once Small starts school next week. I did find 5p in my coat pocket this morning, but I've got a suspicion it may have been "discovered" a number of times before.

I'm also going to expand my wombling reports to include anything I'm given/find/forage as I am interested in just how much of a womble I am.

I got a bit upset with DH's cousin the other day as he sneered at my request to keep a receipt un-crumpled so it would photograph well. Considering he's always moaning about his finances, or lack of them, it seemed a little snobbish. But then, he went shopping with the intent of spending £300+ on a new pair of trainers  [STRIKE]Luckily[/STRIKE], I mean, sadly, they didn't have them in his size...

    hello all,

well done on your wombling so far.

I actually had bit of good luck and won £100 on a scratch card yesterday, not wombling as i bought the scratchcard but still wanted to share my excitement. Im never buying another scratch card ever again now! haha

I have wombled 20p on my walk to work and also found 50p at climbing centre. Im walking to work again tomorrow so keeping my eye out for change.

Ive got into a really bad habit of not registering my grocery shopping receipts on the different apps i have and also checking the APG on any asda ones i get. i really need to get back into the habit! bad bad

I wombled a banana at work yesterday, worth about 20cents. My employer puts a fruit basket at Reception for the employees once a week, you have to be there quickly, because it's usually empty after 5 minutes!

This morning I wombled a chair massage, also from my employer. I don't know how much that would be worth, and I definitely wouldn't pay for it myself, but my employer has invited two massage people to come once a month, and you can put yourself on a list for a massage. I like this type of wombling - for me it's luxury.

Wombling has been rubbish for the past few days. 2 CC point on a receipt that the cashier handed my along with mine, so I didn't even have to pick it up off the floor!

The new area where we live people don't seem to drop coins very much - either that or there are a lot of other wombles that get there before me.
Thank-you to everyone who posts comps

    Today's wombles.

    1. Used a 150 point voucher in Mr S if £10 worth of Cat food was purchased. This works out £0.75 in value. It is also much more economical to buy the 4kg sacks than the small boxes.
    2. Uploaded 4 reciepts to Clicksnap for 4p
    3. Took 3 wombled Mr T reciepts in and claimed the 19 points.
    4. Have a Mr T voucher I wombled with milk on it worth 25p on Shoptize at the moment. I will go back in later and scan a milk to claim.
    5. Son looked under the coin star machine and found 22p
    6. I found 1p myself.

Think that's it today folks :)

    Back again!

Really pleased that the milk scan worked. So that's 25p for nothing.
Picked up a YS cucumber for 0.39p instead of 0.49p.
The best? 350g of delicious Pilgrims Choice cheddar for £1. How I hear you ask? It was on offer at £2. And I then used one of the £1 vouchers from the Orchard scheme which are supposed to be for T finest cheese but the staff will take them anyway :)

    Result!

Another £1.10 added to the score.

  • Hi all, good morning!

Bought an over the counter migraine tablet from Boots yesterday and earned 7 points for that. Scanned the receipt on COS and earned a penny cashback. I found a 5p coin on the floor in front of the cashier but too embarrassed to pocket it so handed it to the cashier. (I was hoping he would say keep it for honesty but he put it in the charity tin in front of him which i was pleased about. At least it went to a charity rather than to himself).

Bought some YS goodies yesterday, came out with 2 carrier bags of breads, a punnet of grapes, 3 cabbages, 4 pints of milk (which gave me 25p cashback on Shopitise) and 4pots of yoghurt all for £1.89. As usual it made me felt so guilty to pay so little for so many items and still get cashbacks for them. Imagine 4 pots of yoghurt a for 2p? It's half a penny each! Cashbacks earned 25p on Shopitise, 1p in COS and 1p in Clicksnap.
