    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Long time absentee here checking in. I have been far too busy at work recently I have not had the energy to do any wombling or upload receipts on the cash back sites. My Dear OH keeps bringing handfuls or receipts every time he comes home from shopping but they have all expired.

    However, I have given myself a good talking to and I'm back on wombling form.
    * I picked up a longish receipt from Asda yesterday that generated an £1.84 APG voucher.
    * Got 25p cash back on shopitise for our weekly milk.
    * found 10p on the floor in aldee today
    * 22p from cos, csnap.
    * I resurrected one of my dresses (that I have outgrown) from the bag that I will be taking to the cash for clothes shop and re-fashioned it into a nice work blouse. As I didn't have much material to work with I though I would have to buy bias binding from my local craft shop. But before heading out, I had a go at making the bias binding from the little left over fabric I had and voila I managed to get more than enough for what I need. (It was such a novel experience for me, being a complete newby. I even managed to make a floral corsage out of some more left over fabric. I couldn't be more pleased. Now I have a completely new top with nil spent. It was a weekend project that I wore to work today and everybody commented on how nice it is and how it doesn't look homemade. (Either I have very nice colleagues or they all need to go to Specsavers. Hehehe)
    *. I had an email from the ink recycling company saying they will be sending me £20.25 for the empty ink cartridges I sent them not too long ago. Money from things that would have stayed in the tip for ages and ages. Yay!

    Lovely to hear from you TOG..some excellent examples of the freebies that can be had with just a little thought..

    I am at over £80 in roadkill now for 2015, would love to make it to £100 by the 31st :) & overall above £700 in all wombling activities. For 2016 I need to track my sub categories within that better. Quite a bit has come from tips..and a lot from finding and adding points on. I still can do more next year though!

    Found 1p in Sainsburys and 5p on the path in the mud this evening. Have also had all the 'free' Checkoutsmart items that they've had over the last week or so. Only need about 40p for the £20 payout :D

    I received my £125 for switching banks the other day, of which half has gone towards my debt. The other half has been set aside for a parking ticket that I got Sat morning which I don't think was my fault (bit of a long story but I hope I don't have to pay it).

    She is dandy thanks TOG :) HV came today and she is now 12.5 pounds at exactly 8 weeks today. I can't stop myself stroking her head about 50 times a day as it feels like a baby duck. Hope your super boys are doing well.

    Hi Muhren

    Parking tickets have to be the worst thing ever surely? I don't miss them. I actually think the system is set up so drivers can't avoid them. In London I've had them for driving in a bus lane for around 1 second when I didn't realise it was outside the allowed period and moved immediately. Had them for parking in badly signed bays as well. Was anyone at risk??
    Bah. I don't really miss my car for reasons such as that.

    Bob

    I was staying somewhere through Airbnb and the host gave me a parking permit and told me exactly where to park. I parked in the appropriate visitors bay and displayed the permit, the reason for the ticket was an invalid permit???
