    Hello all,
I've been lurking and I've really enjoyed reading and learning about your wombling exploits! :T

I'm doing some other moneysaving things and I don't think that wombling is for me just now, however I did want to ask you all whether there is any kind of womble drop off point?

For example:- if I forget my netcar card, I can't be bothered to keep the receipt and claim the 1 or 2 points at customer services. So I'd be happy to leave that receipt in a place where a womble could find it. Also with £1 off a £10 shop type vouchers, I don't spend much and so never use these as they have about 1 week before they expire, but would be happy to leave it, say over by the newspapers, for a womble to pick up....?

What a lovely thought, I often want to leave my coop points to someone as I don't have a card there but never have the bottle to say. I don't know of such a 'place' but no doubt I'd miss them if there was :rotfl:

I got told off by a lady in Sainsburys for trying to give the customer behind me my nectar points, as my card has not yet arrived in the post.
Apparently 'WE DON'T DO THAT HERE'

If I shop somewhere where I don't have a loyalty card, I usually ask the next shopper if they want my points. It's never many points, and usually the shop assistant doesn't care. I think they see it as good PR, rather than daylight robbery.

Welcome Going to do it, what a nice thought. I am not aware of any such system however but maybe a neighbour who collects might appreciate your reciepts?

  • Well I see that a lot of you womble around the car park, and sometimes the staff can be a bit strange about receipts (so this is why they employ people to snatch receipts from the self service tills maybe?)
So I just thought is there was a kind of "universal" drop off area, especially in the huge supermarkets? Like maybe the newspapers table? Nothing suspicious about stopping and looking there! I'm going to drop them there from now on- North London sainsbugs and Telcos look out!

  • Hello!

I've found you all, courtesy of a link from another thread, namedropping Bobarella & all you happy wombles :0)

I feel like I've been missing out so far.....have a lot to read....and a lot to learn!
  • Long time absentee here checking in. I have been far too busy at work recently I have not had the energy to do any wombling or upload receipts on the cash back sites. My Dear OH keeps bringing handfuls or receipts every time he comes home from shopping but they have all expired.

However, I have given myself a good talking to and I'm back on wombling form.
    * I picked up a longish receipt from Asda yesterday that generated an £1.84 APG voucher.
    * Got 25p cash back on shopitise for our weekly milk.
    * found 10p on the floor in aldee today
    * 22p from cos, csnap.
    * I resurrected one of my dresses (that I have outgrown) from the bag that I will be taking to the cash for clothes shop and re-fashioned it into a nice work blouse. As I didn't have much material to work with I though I would have to buy bias binding from my local craft shop. But before heading out, I had a go at making the bias binding from the little left over fabric I had and voila I managed to get more than enough for what I need. (It was such a novel experience for me, being a complete newby. I even managed to make a floral corsage out of some more left over fabric. I couldn't be more pleased. Now I have a completely new top with nil spent. It was a weekend project that I wore to work today and everybody commented on how nice it is and how it doesn't look homemade. (Either I have very nice colleagues or they all need to go to Specsavers. Hehehe)
*. I had an email from the ink recycling company saying they will be sending me £20.25 for the empty ink cartridges I sent them not too long ago. Money from things that would have stayed in the tip for ages and ages. Yay!

Way to go The Only Girl, wouldn't know where to start making something out of something else.

Also congrats on your signature, that was some heavy duty debt busting you did there. Well done
