Thank you so much everyone. Managed to book my 1st choice with 1st choice dates as just refreshed the Sun holidays page just as it went live last night. Just as I was about to go to bed. Glad I stayed up now.
Have booked a site with a poor reputation but we only treat it as a sleeping place so it was picked purely for the location as access to where we want to go on days out. We take our own bedding anyway as we tend to camp somewhere for a couple of nights as well on the way.

i have always bought passes for butlins friends have never bought them when you go there i have never been given any ticket or wristband to show i have paid and i walk about freely, friend who never pays does the same.. i have read somewhere that you cannot use facilities if not paid however i have yet to be proved you cannot.. Friends of mine do this all the time.. even at xmas last year there was no pass or band issued to me to show i had paid.. friend didnt pay and was still able to walk freely.. How does that work then

There were giving green wrist bands at Xmas recently at minehead, I had to go back to the apartment to get mine as never needed it before, so didn't think I needed it, this was for the evening entertainment though

I agree. I find Butlins expensive direct but booking through the Sun means it's a fraction of the price. Cheating them out of the money will only stop them offering half term holidays which by the looks of it they have done. I haven't managed to find a Butlins half term holiday during the last 2 or 3 promotions where I have always gone in Easter using the Sun. I'm gutted.

Working it out using the Sun, 7 of us going was going to cost just over £400, with 3 of us at half board. Booking direct is over £1000! Though if people want to cheat to make it even cheaper I think it just ruins it for the rest of us that are happy to pay for the passes, though just can't afford the inflated prices of half term.
