Feel very frustrated as it was such a nice day here yesterday and now it's raining. I had hoped to do something in garden! Ho ho know how you feel Fire Fly and Alfie. It'll still be there waiting trouble is everything has grown such a lot.

Well done FF and leanfun. Comping Fairy forgotten me again!
Did finally get my £20 iTunes voucher today though. Sent 2 reminder emails to them and today they said I hadn't been in touch. Bought a Best No1s of 70s for £10 which I am listening to now (68 tracks)
Raining here now too.

It is upsetting about all the steel works going down leanfun/Rose. 2 thousand workers lost their jobs recently at a plant near us. Right near Xmas too. One of the workers is my sons football coach and he joked about forming a full monty to get by but he is worried about how they will manage.

Sheils, that's great you got the iTunes I was waiting on a toy order from beginning of the month and should have only taken a couple of days. When I emailed they said it was because one of the items had a delay on it until November but I wasn't informed about it! Just glad it hasn't gone missing!

Alfie, I always thought foot, hand & mouth was to do with animals too but it seems there's been one or two cases of it in school so it has been deeply cleansed. I told my DD to be careful around school, I wouldn't want her getting anything!

Had another frustrating day with sons school. Still this other staff member insists he do isolation room for him getting tie nicked in school! I was so annoyed I went straight into school. They tried to exclude him because he refused to go in isolation but it's still not over with. I've asked for a meeting with the principal, they soon changed their mind! It's getting beyond a joke now. I would love to go to the local paper about the way they handle things but I work in nearby school myself so can't risk my job.

Thankfully the rain started to ease off as the day went
on.

I hadn't realised about the hand, foot and mouth either
wingo, that's why I had to google about it. Hope your DD
stays safe from it.

Just cannot believe your DS's school! :eek: You are doing
right going to the top, can't be doing with anything like
that .... still think the school is run by a load of numpties ...
it will be interesting to hear what the principal has to say!
Hope you get things sorted out asap .... it's all been going
pear shaped for too long now! :eek:

Bit windy here this morning.


Did you get appointment with Principal wingo? Here it is our Head who is the numpty, most of the other teachers are fine although a lot of the good ones have taken early retirement. Can be difficult to recruit here as houses so expensive and too quiet for the young teachers.

Wingo I completely agree with Alfie. The way that school is run makes my blood boil. I do hope you see the principal.
Years ago I have heard about foot and mouth but I'd forgotten about it.
Do hope it's good news for your Dad tomorrow.

Sylvia hope DH is a bit better.

Yesterday I had a great result. Earlier in the summer I won concert tickets which included a £200 gift voucher for the Cambridge satchel company. My sister came with me to their shop and I chose a wine coloured satchel for £140! It has 'press stud'. Like things so I don't have to keep doing up straps. Anyway DS is much more in tune with all these things than me and gave advice on type of leather etc. she said colour she liked. Well this week they have a sale and I will be able to buy a blue bag she likes for £66.50 instead of £95. So I only have to pay £6.60. It's going to be such a surprise for her for Christmas. I already have an expensive mascara for her bought on a deal. Never in my whole life have I had such an expensive bag.

We have to get going today I have agreed to Hammond's coming back tomorrow to do a video of said bedroom makeover. They want to talk to me but I did warn them I froze for photos. DH and I need to do some cleaning!

Sounds like you got a great bargain leanfun. I won a satchel a while back on mag dailies (full of sweets) but DD claimed it. She loves it and can take everything but kitchen sink in it I think. Says if she is going to a party she can put a bottle of wine in it too! Good luck with video.
