Thanks for posting the shopping list, I forgot I did that :D Most helpful
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

  • Wow Murie, hope you are ok after your fall. lt must have looked spectacular, and although very unpleasant for you, german shepherd may think its a new game and want a repeat! lol.
Temporary repair to roof is complete, so it is a day of mould removal for me, then painting. At least, that's the plan A, plan B is go shopping with DD, hmmmm.
Deccies almost complete, just the garland in the conservatory to finish, couple of hours max, then sort out the presents. I have lost/misplaced/accidentally thrown out/ my red, green, and gold florists ribbon, so l have had to buy more, to finish off the hampers, grr.
Flying visit from DSIL, on her way to see her GDS' school nativity, where he is Joseph, l expect lots of tears, from her, as the littlies are so so so lovely.
Right, enough of this procrastinating, got to get cracking...... l will NOT visit pinterest either.
  • Mandco - dd1 had it as a baby, dd2 had a very mild case a few years back, but is under the weather these past few days, so I'm keeping an eye out for spots!

GTQ - Oh dear - condoms indeed lol. What a lovely surprise for them all, I am sure they were very grateful.

Murie - Hope your ok after the fall.

MrsI - I vote for plan B! Enjoy the nativity.

Has anyone ordered from the works? I put 10 of the 10 for £10 books in my basket yesterday, and then when I went back to add some other bits, it said basket empty. So I added them again, applied the discount code, and checked out/paid. The total amount payable was as it should of been.
BUT my confirmation email had 20 books (duplicates) and had charged me for them all??

Emailed them several times, but no reply. I'm now worried there will be some hold up. Delivery is 7-9 working days, so should be here 22nd-23rd, but order still says processing.

Anyone any experience with them? Whats my chances of actually getting the items in time, and of getting a refund for the duplicate items? TIA

MrsI plan B sounds like a great plan to me hope the nativity went well.

Gettingtherequickly- How did you manage to keep a straight face? It was lovely of you to make them for them.

Mrs I- she might well think its a new game but its one I wont be playing again if I can help it! Glad you got your roof sorted ( if only temporarily) especially with all this wet windy weather the UK is having. I would have gone with plan B too- which did you decide on?

Thanks for all the well wishes- I wasn't hurt- just had my pride (and b*m) dented a bit! Luckily I've got a bit of padding there which helped cushion the fall lol!
    lovin' this site!

  • Mandco - There's no way to cancel order, but I can return it to store once it arrives (fat lot of good that is, if there was a store near me I wouldn't have ordered online!).

They have apologised for the double basket scenario (a fault in their system) but haven't offered any options of how to rectify it.

Not overly impressed with their customer services, and lack of options to cancel/ammend orders ... But as long as it arrives in time all's good :-)

  • Evening everyone,

FUNNYBUNNY i hope you are recovered from your bug now
PEPPAPIG ooh can we see a pic of your tree with the vintage glass ornaments please it sounds really lovely
MURIE DD2 is in NY now she is home on Thursday, she text me saying she is in bad pain still and the other symptoms are still there so i am not happy. My dog is exactly the same waits til he comes in from the garden/rain and then shakes!!!! Luckily he has to walk through the conservatory first so the splashes are usually up the wall in there, i am forever cleaning mud, dirt and hair up after him, for your tea you could do almond topped mince pies, festive flapjack, sugar cookies??? Ouch i hope your knee will be ok i have done exactly the same before but had real trouble with my knee for a while after, typical that you had a full audience though eh, just think how many peoples day you brightened up!! Sorry i don’t know anything about google chromecast, yes i am feeling much better just seem to have acquired earache today for some reason but i am up and about , thankyou
MONEYMISSION have you had your decorating done? Glad it all looks cosy
VULPIX honestly i found it funny PEPPAPIG was emailing a fantastic quiz for Christmas not so long ago that her DH made up
MANDCO thankyou, how is Taz doing?
PRINCESSKITTY thankyou for asking after DD2 i think they are going to have to rethink as she still has all the symptoms and its no better after the op
KISSMENOW your hampers sound lovely, i hope you manage to get everything done and finished in time
    GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY haha that is hilarious
MRSINVISIBLE glad your roof is sorted for the time being
PINKNFLUFFY i have ordered from the works before and always got my order reasonably quickly, i have a problem with their website too, i can never get the offer that they advertise on their emails, but i have never had to deal with customer service so no advice im afraid

  • Thanks for all the get well wishes. I felt fine the next day which is really strange as to how Ill I felt the previous day! Have had a bad and muggy head since though
My son loves alll things computer, Xbox. We have the minecraft books already and to be honest he's not really into it. He loves army figures/toys and dinosaurs but he probably has most of them already. Will have to get my thinking cap on lol.
Took the boys to see Santa at the weekend. It was lovely. We're in a rented house and the housing association office is 2 mins away and they turned it into a grotto for the tenants children. The boys saw Santa and got a gift then made some Xmas decorations at the craft table. Was all free and they really enjoyed it and I get some homemade decs for the tree.
Hope everyone is well! Can't believe how quick it's coming round now, starting to feel a bit stressed now as don't seem to have time to do anything, with helping my mum decorate a whole house before she moves in on the 19th and then work in the evenings, there's just not enough hours in the day! Xxx

    Morning all,
Congratulations to those with new arrivals and hugs to those who need one.

Christmas is pretty much sorted here just a general shop to do ,the tree is up and the outside lights will go up tomorrow.

The local lions club annual Christmas fundraiser is due in our area on Friday its a sleigh with Santa and the elves and Christmas music blasting , its when i really feel Christmas is coming.

DD's new medication is going well ,the side effects are manageable and it could be a while before we know if they are working but we are hopeful. One month today she will be on the plane to the Caribbean .
