  • Hello!

Exciting news - I've just found out I've been offered a new job! Definitely an exciting opportunity, but now I'm mentally preparing for the nerve-wracking handing-in-notice conversation... eek!

I've accidentally gone a bit wild on ordering Yankee Candles - I keep receiving little Amazon packages and opening them to find yet more candles! I ordered this the other day - I thought it was really cute and a little bit more reasonable than the (admittedly gorgeous) advent house!

Is anyone else totally ready for the weekend now?
  • Not sure if this is general or could be considered Christmassy. Was in Superdrug yesterday evening and picked up some body spray & deodorant, all at half price or less but their own brand of body spray was only 48p-63p. At that price I am going to be smelling fragrant for a few months :D But if someone wants to use as stocking fillers or in little hampers, can't go wrong at that price. Think I may go back:o
A smile costs little but creates much :)

I've been stalking this thread for a while so figure I should maybe start posting! I love Christmas and thought I was being organised by starting to think of presents now (other people think I'm crazy!) but I feel disorganised compared to everyone else in this thread!

:rotfl:I know a few people who aren't fussed on the Buble, hey if we were all the same then this world would be a very boring place! I do enjoy listening to his Christmas album though & his Christmas episodes are fab. I don't know if he's doing one this year though, can't find anything online & I know last year he filmed it in October so chances are it won't be happening this year :( Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these women who goes weak at the knees at the sight of him and would never throw a pair of knickers at him at a concert, but I like some of his music & his Christmas album is fab.

I like the sound of the scrabble frame thing, I think I know what you're talking about as I've seen similar things on Pinterest. Let us know how you get on with it.
  • Went and did my shopping in Mr T yesterday and was beyond excited to see that there was a half of one side of an aisle with Christmas biscuit boxes and chocolate boxes out. Then there was a small part of one of the bakery aisles with the pannetone and yule log-type cakes in - people can't ignore it for much longer :rotfl:

I love those mini reindeer soaps that Cherry24 posted from etsy - I've only just bought my first thing ever from there and I think I'm slightly hooked already at all the pretty things people make :)

I was in town earlier today on a lucky (weather-wise) day off. It's gloriously sunny and warm today although town is pretty busy as the annual boat show is on for the next week. Noticed that Poundland were putting out a few Christmassy bits near the Halloween display but didn't stop to look closely.

    Hi all :)

Kaya - well done! I hope it goes well for you at your new place.

Smoosh - Welcome! Glad you decided to post, we're a friendly bunch in here.

Hugs to all that need them, kicks up the bum for those that need them too!

Nothing much to report christmas wise, I'm currently covered in a mountain of flash cards for revision and ironing, and debating which not to do! I did have a lovely conversation with a good friend which has helped me so much.
  • Hello from a long time lurker,

Matalan online have lots of Christmas bits in their homeware section, there are 22 pages to look through although some are not available yet.

Lots of dinnerware, wrapping and decorations, happy looking.

    Goes back to lurkdom

Welcome to the thread Euripedesralph, Smoosh and !!!!!!.

Ha ha, I'm not a Buble fan either Free, my sis and DD love him - I can't really see what all the fuss is about.

Feisty are you out there reading? Hoping everything is going ok and you're just busy.

DD gave me a lovely little key-ring today to use throughout December (she's a Christmas nut too). It's got a little Santa on it and a couple of red beads - it's really pretty and made me feel very festive today lol. Will have to be getting my Christmas Pandora bracelet out soon. I bought 2 new festive charms in the sale back in the spring so they need to be added on.

Hugs to all that need them. x
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
