Yes Gigglewick, that is one of the top 10 for Christmas. My OH ordered a few days ago & has had a dispatch notice. He has ordered one for himself & one for his nephew. He showed me a video of it earlier & its actually quite cute
I picked up a Christmas present for my youngest daughter today while shopping in MrT. They had a big clearance aisle getting rid of lots of summer merchandise. Most of the reductions were pathetic really, but they had a Nerf Rebelle shooter down from #26 to #7. I checked on Amazon first to see if they really were originally #26.
(Sorry for the has tags, my pound sign button seems to be typing hash tags instead for some reason)0 -
JJ good to see you. goodluck with the treatments
princesskitty broken nights are one of the worst bits hopefully he'll get back into his routine soon. I def think the cooler nights are a trigger I ended up putting a light duvet on taz's bed this wk as he kept waking up saying he was chilly
3fortheholidays I do think kids prefer money we do presents for the younger ones then a token gift with some cash once they are older unless there is something specific they'd like. Works well for the older ones as alot of the stuff they want costs more than I can afford and ends up being in the sales anyway.
no xmas brochures yet but xmas stock is creeping into the shops my local newsagent had xmas sweet tubes out today
anyone get the yankee candle email about the xmas votive sampler box? not sure about the new xmas scents might have to find a shop that stocks them 1stthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
We found the xmas yankees singlely the other day the berry trifle.is awesome! I cant remember what the other 2 were now0

Evening everyone, DD2s OH fitted my stairgate and cupboard locks today, so massive weight off my mind and off my list plus burnt most of what was cut down the other week with paperwork that needed burning/shredding that has sat there for over a year as well, so a good few things that were beginning to stress me out done!! The kids made me laugh today DD2 said that i was glowing and was more energetic today and DS said that i looked fresher
;) from being on this diet haha kids you gotta love em :rotfl:
LINZ oh i hope you managed to take a nap sometime todayi think DD2 might be in for a bit of a night as Thumper has gone down with a horrible cold and is teething as well!! I have heard really good reviews of the Berry Trifle one
MRSINVISIBLE i hope you are not so achey tonight and had a good time shopping with DD, your DGS is so sweet helping you with the lawn still and hasnt got bored of doing it!
MRSMONEYPENNY well we all might be able to wait until November i read the other day that this weekend will be chilly but then it is warming up again and will last until the end of October (we shall see )
CHRISSY oh you sound like you have had a lovely morning, yes our dog can sniff something for him a mile off too
JJ lovely to see you! oh you sound as though you have had a few things to deal with my lovely, but glad you have managed to stay out of hospital x
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY oooh i bet your house smells gorgeous and all christmassy!!
MSGIGGLEWICK i need a good tidy of my craft workshop too i went down there for the first time in a year :eek: and it looked like i had been burgled and the place ransacked, i was absolutely fuming, its where the kids have gone down and used it to do craft projects, they hadnt put stuff back where they found it, stuff had dropped on the floor and they hadnt picked it up, oooooh i was ready for murder!!! So next weekend they can blooming well come down and help me tidy it from top to bottom
MANDCO yes i got the email too but tbh i didnt think it was that good a value as i have a box of 5 in my wish list for only £7.99 on amazon

Hi all _party_
Loving how many people are in CHRISTMAS mode now. Its like our own Christmas Party page xx
Have been on full steam ahead with Christmas prep, even watched elf and the christmas elf yesterday. The husband even sat and watched elf! Got daughter a Blue doctors scrubs and stethoscope fancy dress outfit from smyths reduced to £4.99 to go with her baby born drs bed. Ordered my mum a set of 6 Yankee candle samplers from asda as I had an evoucher for £3 for asda so they only cost me £3! Havent managed to get to go through the christmas bags and boxes yet. Really need to make this a priority as I could be buying things that I have already got. My son helped me clean through some kitchen cupboards and I found 2 gifts stashed there that I had forgotten!
I am determined to do some christmas cooking this year. I say it every year and never do! Please can you share your faithful christmas recipes that maybe I can freeze or do closer to christmas as I would like to add a baked gift to add to my families gifts. I usually make a ginger cake with treacle in that ALL my family adore but the recipe book is so old I would have no idea if I could freeze it! I would like to add some new recipes that could become firm favourites!
pavlovs_dog I love lakeland christmas so will have a look
Freespirit66 Glad to hear your kids are noticing the benefits of your hard work dieting. It spurs you on doesnt it?
jj hope you are doing as well as can be at the moment xx Its lovely to see you on here.
3fortheholidays My son is 13 this time and much prefers money. He knows he can get the exact gift he wants in the sale rather than us having to go to exchange a gift that has been bought with the best of intentions but he would never use.
Gettingtherequickly Micheal Buble is Mr christmas!! Bet you house smells really christmassy!
Hope everybody is well and doing their christmassy things. Welcome to all newbies! Got to dash as daughter has got a party at 11am:( Wanted to stay in and do christmassy stuff lol! be back on later xx0 -
Freespirit66- I use the cake release spray and leave the cake to cool for five minutes. I find it hard to wait that long sometimes. Had a couple of cakes break up a little, probably due to my impatience, but just stick the broken piece back on and the scattering of icing sugar takes care of the rest.
Went hunting for sloes yesterday ready for the sloe gin which is now on the go (just the one bottle). Used lidl gin so fingers crossed. Added a few blackberries too. Sloes not very prolific this year, seem small too. Sounds like I make it all the time, this is my second attempt, the last lot was wonderful. Need some small, inexpensive bottles to give as presents. Any ideas?
Got rid of the computer table so now have nowhere upstairs to wrap Christmas presents. I normally keep everything to hand in the computer room and keep the door closed so I can pop in when I feel like wrapping a few bits. Thinking cap on - how to manage this. Sitting on the bed is not a comfortable solution. Might try a board on an open drawer, might be unstable, will have a go.0 -

dont laugh but many a time I have pulled the ironing board out for a mammoth wrapping session in the living room watching a christmas film. I know its only a temporary option but it has worked for me x Last year i did all my wrapping in the loft on my craft desk but am losing the room as we making it a bedroom! will probably end up using the ironing board and doing the gifts in batches x Only down side is having to cart everything up and downstairs. May try the ironing board in my bedroom!0 -
Not sure if anyone is doing hampers of any sort but M&S had boxes of chocolate biscuits at half price (£3 instead of £6) so I've stuffed a couple away for both sets of parents. Now the girl are back to school I can start to plan!0
