Creamcrackerstwo hello and welcome! So glad your first post was wit us!
Thanks for sharing your cake ideas, I love the sound of having a tree shaped tin I never thought of that before - I shall have to look out for one!
Peppapig what a good idea to get another duvet cover to make a pair of curtains, much cheaper I imagine if you have the skills to do it yourself. I bought a sewing machine months and months ago but really struggle to find the time to get on it. I'm a novice too so need time to teach myself. Maybe one day!
Mrs_Ryan glad to hear your present dilemma is sorted, and what great gifts too! So how are you involved in the rugby club? And what does sponsoring a player involve? Sorry if I sound ignorant i'm just not too sure how it works.
I was really excited yesterday to receive the Lakeland Christmas catalogue through the post, unfortunately it didn't live up to my excitement as it's mainly a lot of stuff from the normal catalogue but it's the start of the Chrimbo catalogues! Just have to wait till October for the rest to start trickling through. Every year I pick them all up as I love flicking through them but never really buy anything I see in them as I have either already got what I wanted or know what i'm planning to get! I also found a Christmas copy of Prima from last year that I had a little flick through which was nice. It's funny because since September started my brain seems to have fully kicked into festive mode! I expect the weather has been a part of that too. We have given in and put our heating on, Wiggle always kicks himself out of his covers at night so we worry about him getting too cold. We're having lots of trouble with him at night at the moment, he's waking up all the time and then wakes up for the day at 4 or 5 every day. He also won't let DH settle him, even though DH has done it since he was born he now goes absolutely mad if it's not me who goes to settle him. I hope it's just a phase because i'm shattered!0 -
Princesskitty.... its so hard when they like that... my lil boys a nightmarr he wont settle with his dad so its alllll on me! Weve been up since 5 then the lil monkey went back to sleep once i was wide awake. Makes it very long days too!! Hopefully theykl both settle down soon lol x0

Thank you for a nice welcome to this magical forum.
Princess kitty - would post a picture but I don't know how. Have had my bundt tin for some years, it was a little expensive but I think worth it. Might be cheaper elsewhere but it is available on Amazon, search for Nordic Christmas tree bundt tin. Can't post a link either! Will become more competent the more I post I am sure.0 -
Princess Kitty We had the sam problem with my little boys (many years ago!)
We found that baby sleeping bags solved the problem. Kept them toasty warm and they couldn't kick them off!
Something like these but think we got some from an NCT sale

Hello, been a busy couple of weeks. Kids are all settled back in school, but ended up off ill at the beginning of this week. So I've not had a minute.
I did get a new 3 piece suite. So happy as the old one was done. This one is smaller, so I have more room. So I did a big spring (autum ) clean, moved furniture around and did a big clear out. I feel the house is ready for Christmas. Usually I wait and wait to get things like that done. I am happy enjoying my living room again.
I went into town this morning and picked up a few stocking fillers from Wilko's. I got my DS a pack of sling shot pencils, I'm sure I will regret those. He also wanted a microscope, I have learned not to spend loads on him as he isn't the most careful, but WH Smiths had some of their Gadget shop stuff reduced and they had a microscope down to £3.70 and a wee build your own solar system kit down to £1.99. These are right up his street. I was just so happy finding Christmas things when I wasn't even looking.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hi everyone
I bought the Christmas bags from QVC, they are by a company called Gift Mate - lovely bags they are too!!
New to this, and nowhere near as prepared as any of you guys - but I have my Christmas Bags, and my Christmas Cards - thanks to the lovely poster (who's name I forget) who posted about the Whistlefish offer.
Well, the weather is on the turn now, so I'm looking forward to lots more Christmas planning.

Helloyou don't sound ignorant at all, I get asked this question a lot. I'm just a fan, albeit a big fan
my club Nottingham are in the Championship which is the second level of English rugby so it's a smaller club. Being a sponsor basically means you choose a player and you pay a fee for the season, and you become their sponsor. You get your name in the programme and you get to have a meal with them and things. The player I previously sponsored for three seasons retired in January due to a head injury so I've picked a new player this season. The lad I used to sponsor I spoiled rotten and loved buying him presents for his birthday and Xmas, last Xmas I bought him an expensive bottle of whisky and an iTunes voucher, and when he retired I bought him a watch, a Superdry hoodie and a Superdry bobble hat- see what I mean by I like to spoil my player?
hence my dilemma about my new player's birthday.
I've got my Xmas playlist on at the moment. I'm really impatient, I want to do my Xmas shopping but can't do anything yet*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
I've given in to temptation and am watching Home Alone 2 lol0
