Hi All
I've still not put my heating on but it's getting colder so I don't think it will be long before I give in.
I had the Studio Christmas catalogue through the door the other day so sat down to look through it earlier today. There's loads of stuff with 80% off some pretty good items really so I have spotted a few things I am going to get to put away for Christmas. There was a Christmas tree storage bag really cheap, so I'm definitely grabbing one because I know they can be quite expensive at full price.
I've had a few more Christmas presents delivered today that I had ordered. I've put them on my 'Got' list so I don't forget about them & they're in a box now ready to go up into the attic.
I've not got any major plans this weekend so I think more Christmas planning is on the agenda

A big welcome to the thread for all the newbies! I think it's the colder weather that is making everyone think of Christmas!
PrincessKitty I'm still entering the competitions and managing to average the target entries of 130/day over the month. The challenge will finish this month when the group have hit the one million. When we finish I will keep entering competitions but probably won't enter quite so many per day!
Need to start thinking about doing some Christmas shopping but normally give money to the children of the family with some chocolate. I've often wondered if the children really want money or would they much rather prefer a gift? Personally when I was a child I preferred the cash but not everyone is the same. What's everyone's opinion on this?A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

morning, still in bed, but awake (ish) spent an hour in the garden yesterday again and am suffering again. I will never learn, and at least the front is almost ready for winter, just a few late blooming perennials to chop back.
Thumper and Wiggle flexing their muscles, eh? now they know they cant get sent back, they are pushing their limits, (lol) .
You've got to love them, wouldn't want them to be pushovers, now would you!!!
Hope this phase doesn't last too long, though, you lovelies need your sleep too.
DGS cut the grass yesterday, before he went to his dads, so l may have the weekend off gardening, and get the Christmas list up to date, and start to write the cards.
Maybe take DD out for a couple of hours retail therapy, (window shopping, that is,) and a bite to eat.0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone is well
Glad the Christmas birthday dilemma got sorted
We Rory not toot the heating on till November, apart from a couple of test the system uses before the cold sets in.
Put my cross stitch away for the weekend as not sure if dd2 is round today or tomorrow and i don't want her spotting it. (glad I saw that before pressing submit auto correct decided "I don't want" should have been "idol twang")
Just back from shopping, little indie chemist was just putting loads of Christmas stock out candles, star wars mugs, and minions stuff was just some I saw will have to go back once it's all priced and on shelves properly.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning ,
I have had a few hours peace so I have gone through and wrapped everything ,I have enough stocking fillers just need sweets and had the main gifts anything I get now will just be extra little bits.
I have to leave the dogs stocking until the last minute as it stays in my car till Christmas eve as her seeks and destroys anything with a hint of chicken or rubber. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Good afternoon lovely people.

Just zooming in to send massive love to you all and hope everyone is well!
I am okay , staying out of hospital. Learning to live within the limitations is hard I still cant put my right foot flat to the floor due to the damage from using too much gas and air in hospital (they totally broke protocol which has caused a b12 deactivation and spinal cord issues. Fingers crossed the treatment helps!
Can't wait to speak of more Christmassy things!

Hey, JJ is back!
Sitting down for a much needed coffee as I smell Christmas cakes baking. Got 2 in oven, done housework, all the washing, filled car up with petrol, had it cleaned, so think I deserve a coffee nowHad odd bonus of Mr Buble singing on my iPod, it's on shuffle, so suddenly hearing Christmas songs put a spring in my step washing floors:rotfl:
Thinking about starting to wrap presents now.
Can't remember who loves owls, but Lidl had autumn decorations last night which included a pair of owls. Although not my cup of tea, they looked sweet.A smile costs little but creates much0
