Hi everyone. Christmas seems in full flow on here and enjoying reading everyones tips and ideas. Just reading your favourite christmas films makes me want to put elf on with a hot chocolate. Lol
freespirit your glittery krispie cakes sound fab and very festive
bbrosie I always remember my mum spending the same on me and my db only as we got older did one have a bigger pile then the other as we wanted bigger main things that cost more. As my sis is only 10 she tends to get more then us older ones.
So ive been battling with a cold summer must be over lol. Bit decided to tackle my wardrobe today one bin bag to go to cs and another to my auntie yet it still looks full. Found my xmas jumpers though which made my day. But panicking with the lack of pressies I have normally ive done more by now but this year inspiration hasn't hit me yet so must get my xmas thinking cap on.
Anyway sorry about rambling hugs and kisses to all who need or want. XxShoot for the moon even if you miss you will land amoung the stars

BBRosie I have a budget per child but I do still try to make sure they have roughly the same amount of presents. the older ones might get 1 or 2 more expensive presents which are usually really small and then lots of cheapy bits selection pack/smellies ect to make up the number while my youngest gets bigger presents size wise but I rarely spend his full budget with the rest going into his savings account.
Haribo how old is your eldest? I find boys are far harder to buy for. for my teen I usually add some gadgety type things -last yr power bank, phone/computer accessoriesthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
He's just turned 13 Mandco. He does like gadgety type things so will have to keep looking.0

Chocolatebum I think you have to open an account with Studio although I might be wrong but I wouldn't have opened one if I'd found another way to do it. I only order for Christmas though and always pay it as soon as I get the statement.
thanks peppapig, shame as they do have nice stuff but i have no willpower not to buy everything i see with the plan of paying it straight away and then not doing so, hence the huge amount owing in my signature lolDEBT

DSD is 7 and DD will be 13 months. DSD is getting a karaoke machine and tablet which work out quite expensive (we've done two bigger presents, one for here and one for home). I'm aiming for 15 gifts each but DSD has got two big pressies and lots of smaller ones whereas DD is just getting toys of similar size and cost. We are also finding baby toys have a crazy amount of packaging so her pile is twice the size with less value and less presents!
Really don't want DSD to feel pushed out or feel like she doesn't get the same now DD is here.

Evening everyone, after unsuccessfully trying to sit down with my christmas planner this weekend i unexpectedly had some free time today and thought ooh i know what i will do after getting some housework done, it didnt happen..... because while i was dewebbing with my feather duster i knocked the flipping surround sound speaker off the hook in my bedroom and when the door closed as i was putting the hoover out i couldnt get back in as the speaker was wedged between the door and wardrobe :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:you couldnt make it up! I had to get skinny DS to climb over my bed to get round the door to put it back when he got in from work, of course he found the whole thing flipping hilarious! To everyone who has asked i will try and sort the Krispie Cake recipe out this week and post it on here, adults and kids both love it!
04624181 oh i know its so frustrating, of course i have found christmas decopatch paper now i cant afford it!! I cant wait until i can get to a Hobbycraftsorry i have never been into our Smyths so i dont know when their sales are
MRSMONEYPENNY oh you do find some cracking bargains at your local car boot!
QUIDSY oh well done on your christmas popcorn tasting great, i cant think of an easier way to distribute the marshmallow
OMO hope you got some bargains and had a good old mooch around HB

PLUMDUFF hi and welcome to our thread the mincemeat recipe looks lovely, that is good to know i always thought homemade mincemeat didnt last that long and try to use it up quickly
MONEYMISSION i had a look on studio website today because i still havent got the catalogue through, yes there is a few things that i want to order too
CHOCOLATEBUM no there isnt, you have to open an account with them, it is flipping annoying i agree!
BBROSIE hi and welcome to our thread, when my kids were little (or even now) they knew from an early age that i spent equal on all of them but it depended on what they asked for and how much, to how many presents they would get! I have never done it on the amount of presents, fab bargains in tesco btw! Oh i can see why you are a bit worried about DSD feeling left out, is she old enough to understand?
HARIBO you think its hard now try doing a stocking for a 24 year old man :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:he always ends up with loads of deodrants and shower gel!!!
STARLET hope you feel better soon honey! Dont worry about no inspiration there is loads of time yet
CARLISLELASS well done that is 5 less to wrap!

when do you have dsd over xmas? could you maybe hold back some presents for dd till dsd has gone home? at 13mths she won't know any difference. gift bags are a great way to make presents seem bigger I wrap as normal then pop in a bag with tissue paper on top. works well if they are still at the size matters when it comes to presents stage.
anyone know if costco have any xmas stock in yet?this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Right so inspiration has hit me I think just need your guys help as to whether this is a good idea or not lol. So for my mum im thinking of doing a hamper of sorts with a gift for every month next year so they wouldn't all be wrapped so she would see them on the day but a note attached saying what month it's for a why e.g july as she works in a school a gift to celebrate start of hols. It feels like it coild work but as im tired and full of cold could be mad lol. Thanks in advance xxShoot for the moon even if you miss you will land amoung the stars
