FEISTY: congratulations
and sorry for your loss
we found out i was pregnant with 1st baby the day after my husbands nan passed away, sometimes a new angel is given to help when one is taken back, it`s spooky sometimes how this happens, like when oh nan passed, her b-day was the 22nd of the month, and my son was born on the 22nd, my 4th baby was also born on the 22nd, and his our grandad ( nans husband) passed on his 1st birthday (the 22nd) good luck with the funeral, I hope it goes as well as one can go, my thoughts will be with you xxx
KAYA: what about the night before christmas? kind of halloweeny as well, but a great film

PRINCESSKITTY29: have you seen those cupcases they make by rolling up a pair of socks or flannel, then putting in a cupcase? could you do this and put the deodorant stick in the middle, as are`nt old spice lids red (could be a cherry?) or wrap like a xmas cracker, hth

Have`nt done no xmas shopping for a couple weeks really (actually i did get a little pair of purple gardening gloves to go in mums stocking for £1 from B&Q, here very comfy)Have too much school uniform to get at the mo, as most where on there last legs a few weeks before end of term, but i made them last , have another going up to secondary school in sept as well, they have a specific blazer, uniform etc which can only be purchased from a certain site (no plain blazers with sew on badges) i ordered 2 blazers, 1 tie, and 1 PE top and came to £75!! will start on xmas again when there back to school xxOne day I will live in a cabin in the woods0 -

Hi all!
Every year I say to myself "start your xmas shopping early" and every year i leave it until Nov/Dec. This thread might actually motivate me to start early for once!Just Keep Swimming!0 -
kaya well done on getting the ShowFilmFirst tickets, I never seemed to get them, every time I clicked on my cinema it would always say the tickets had gone! What are you going to see? Enjoy your time off work!
MoneyMission Marbella should be nice for you all, a villa sounds lovely and it should be nice and warm. I LOVE festive cookery programmes, I love cooking and adding Christmas into the mix (excuse the pun!) is the cherry on the cake!
freespirit thanks for asking about DH. He has been job searching for a few weeks now and in the last 2 weeks has interviewed for 3 jobs. He was offered one yesterday and is waiting to hear back on the others before he makes a decision. It's great news, it means he can relax a bit now and whatever happens with the other 2 at least he knows he has one offer on the table.
betterlife thanks for the suggestions, i'm really liking the Christmas cracker one so think i'll do that! I cannot believe how much school uniform costs! And you can't avoid it as they have to have it.
CharlotteBarnes hello and welcome! If you need motivation to get your Christmas preparations kicked off early then you're in the right place!
MoneyMission and freespirit we are only doing a mini cruise to Guernsey for two nights, just to get a feel for cruising and to see if it's suitable with Wiggle. We are going onboard one of P&O's large ships though (the Ventura) so should get a good idea of what being on a proper cruise ship entails. If it goes well we may well do a longer trip in the future. Here's hoping!
Talking of being on the cruise, I shall probably be AWOL for a few days now as Wifi on the ship costs 50p per minute!!!!! :eek:0 -
Hi all,
Been busy this week playing peacemaker between the kids. Teaching staff do not get paid enough!!
Have managed to get a couple of bits for the christmas stash.
they had some reduced yankee candles in my local asda so picked a couple up for my mum. SHe likes the small votive size and they were 80p each so picked her up a couple to start her stash off.
Also got my daughter a leapfrog activity tracker watch for £11!! i bought it from amazon but it seems the price has gone back up to £18.99 now.
Have got my christmas holiday planner folder out and started looking at it on tues night, getting very excited!
Need to wait until the kids go back to school as I have got bags, boxes and carrier bags stashed with stuff all over so need to get it all out and organised! then I can start to fill out my new small notebook which will be my shopping bible lol xx
Hope all are well xxx0 -

cost me £8.25 with delivery and she will LOVE IT!!!
Cannot have christmas without a cuddly to lol0 -
I ordered dh the chewbacca and i couldn't resist the elf.. i do think i have some clothes to fit him somewhere, if not i shall make some.. yep im addicted pmsl. always on the look out for new elves.
dd2 did VERY well in her gcse's, she did a list last night guessing what she got and was totally surprised.. 11 gcse's ranging from grade A to C so all passes.. sadly a few of her friends haven't got quite what they need for college and have been given other options to think over. dd2 hasn't got her college interview regarding results until tomorrow but i'm not expecting any issues.
I can sooo nearly start on xmas shopping bits. 2 more weeks, 2 more weeks lolTotally debt free wohooo 2014
