    Feisty -MASSIVE congratulations.

Princesskitty - Her hamper so far has sun cream ,after sun ,toiletries, sunglasses and it did have a guide book but she had a fit and is a little battered so I gave her that to cheer her up. I am stumped at what else to put on there having never been on a cruise .

Chrissy - how about a travel mug/flask? We went on a cruise last year & although soft drinks & tea/coffee/hot chocolate was help yourself all inclusive, the cups they provided were tiny so we were always having to go back & forth to the machines to get drinks; a bit annoying when you're on Deck 3 and need to get to Deck 11 for a refill!!

Fiesty huge congratulations understandable that you've been keeping it to yourselves its been a very scary few wks/mths and I know how that feels but hopefully now you can relax a little.
also my condolences on the loss of your nan sounds like she went the way she wanted too though and you got to spend some time with her in those last hrs.

Pinknfluffy we don't visit family over xmas as such we see them in the few days before and exchange presents but xmas eve, xmas day & boxing day are mine & the kids I gave up along time ago on trying to keep everyone else happy and travelling back & forth to do so. its not to say I wouldn't have people over but I can't be doing with all the arguing and negativity

Karrie congrats on the birth of oscar

:j:j:j:j:j woohoo congratulations Feisty to you and your DH  Such wonderful news it put a big smile on my face reading!!

I have skimmed through and caught up but I don't think it has all stuck in my head:rotfl: :o I must remember that the closer to Christmas we get the faster this thread moves! My new plan I think will be to log on each morning and do emails and MSE Christmas catch up - you know priorities and all :p I was delighted that my Yankee Candle advent house came yesterday, I wasn't expecting it until just before my wedding so was delighted to stash it away ready.

love the cutlery socks and might have to think of a fancy and cheap way to do mine this year with everyone coming to us. If anybody sees christmassy placemats at a reasonable price please shout up :D

Nothing much else to report in Christmas wise. Wedding plans going well and Saturday it's my hen-do :j

Big hugs to everyone and apologies for having skimmed through so not able to comment on much :o
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • Got a little bit of extra money towards my Christmas spending today - woohoo! I sold something on Amazon so have posted that now & will cash out soon and I reached a payout on a survey/search site that I've been using so have cashed out on that.

I haven't bought any Christmas presents this week because we're a bit busy getting ready for our holiday on Saturday, but a few things arrived that I ordered last week so I've put them away now. I've also got a good idea for some stuff I have put away, from reading on here. I have a few sets from places like Body Shop and Boots, but I think I'm going to split them up & add them to some of the hampers that I'm making up for a few people rather than just give them as a gift to one person.

I found my little advent gift bags that I got for my daughters last year. They were in a box in my bedroom, so I need to start picking up some things for that now too. I would still like to find the Benefit Advent calendar if I can't get that for her this will be my fall back & I will just fill it with cheaper make up/nail polish alternatives for her :)

  • CHRISSYG hmm can't think off the top of my head right now, however I am going on a cruise on Friday so I will see if I get any good ideas whilst on board and report back. :)

newthrift oooh things are getting exciting! What are you doing for your hen do?

MoneyMission I like the idea of splitting up toiletries sets for hampers, never thought of doing that! Oooh where are you going on your hols? Good tip about the travel mug on a cruise, I shall take one with me on Friday!

I am pleased as I managed to find the deodorants for my dad that my mum says she absolutely CANNOT find ANYWHERE, however I just picked them up in Boots! :p So that's another present off my list. I'm not sure how to wrap them though - as in is there an exciting way to wrap deodorant sticks?? My initial thought was to get a wash bag but I believe he already has a nice one of those. By the way this isn't his only present, just one of his little ones, i'm not that tight! :p

I was thinking today that the Food Network channel has 'Christmas in September' weekends showing festive cookery shows - that's only next month! :D:T

    Massive congrats Feisty!

Tonight is the start of my weekend, as my days off start now! Just got in from a driving lesson, and now I'm mentally preparing for GBBO, hooray!

Managed to snag some free cinema tickets from ShowFilmFirst for next week (very MSE), so I'm pleased.

Nothing especially festive to report today, but I am looking for a festive DVD to add to my December hamper. My mum has seen virtually every remotely Christmassy film going, so if anyone has any recommendations of anything a little bit obscure then I'm all ears :)
  • We are off to Marbella for a week, in a villa. Very new for us because we usually do Florida but this year we were after a cheaper holiday as we've been doing work around the house : )

Definitely take a travel mug. The cups were so small. Where are you cruising princesskitty?

I don't have any ideas for wrapping the deodorants, will have a think though.

Ooh, thanks for letting me know about the Christmas food weekends! I love food network but didn't know about that so I'll have to set my sky plus.
