Team Paul for the GBBO
Fingers crossed he's not out first week but knowing my luck
Now I know where I will be each Weds..
Christmas shopping is coming along slowly but I'm at 40% savings so far so hoping to continue this (yes I have a spreadsheet and yes I know I'm slightly odd..)
There is a British Gas advert on the radio at the moment which has a little bit of a christmas song on it which always makes me smile like a loony when I hear it, thankfully the weather is suitably autumnal at the moment so it doesn't feel too strange :rotfl:0 -
I don't really have a theme with my paper, because I have so much left over from previous years! I did pick up a couple of rolls in the sales earlier this year, but it's paper I could easily use for birthdays anyways.
I've usually just picked up any paper I like the look of, but I'd like to try out the brown paper and ribbon idea one year
Not bought any more presents at the moment, but have looked through a few sale areas to look for bits - will keep hunting!0 -

Hi missjec
I've only just found this Christmas thread but everybody on here is so lovely & we're all a bit Christmas mad : )
How is your Christmas planning/shopping going?

Loving all the wrapping suggestions! I printed some luggage style tags on Kraft card in black and red with cute typography sayings on it last year and the black looked great with the gold ribbon and jute string! I also stocked up on candy canes and attached them to the tags and pressies, these went down really well lol.
I think I may do the same again this year as I always miss out on the nice wrapping paper in the January sales and I know this can be turned around quickly. The only problem is making sure I order enough ribbon as it always seems to use miles! x[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

FREESPIRIT66, are you as glad as I am that we didn't get Stu? I loved tonight's episode! GBBO is my second favourite time of year... after the obvious of course
Also thanks so much for the Yankee links, I'm a huge fan so will be keeping a close eye on them!
Is anyone else secretly quite enjoying the little rain showers we've been having recently (down here in Brighton at least) - it feels like we're approaching boots and jumpers weather... (not just yet though, OH THE HUMIDITY!)0 -
KAYA yes i am :rotfl:i was quite disappointed i didnt get him but tonight i was so blooming glad! You are welcome i just came across them while browsing this afternoon and knew some lovelies who would be interested seen as a) they are yankee and b) they are CHRISTMAS
Oh im glad someone else feels like me about the weather, i was just thinking today, its lovely it feels like Autumn (without the humidity of course which is awful here) then i thought i bet i am the only one wishing summer away

We had some cracking thunder and lightening here this evening just before GBBO and I was crossing my fingers that we didn't get a powercut as I need to be able to discuss it at work tomorrow :rotfl:
Have no idea from the first episode who might struggle but I'm optimistic of making it halfway with Paul maybe? I'll have to keep an eye on Sandy too lol. I quite like the look of Marie but they all have their strengths and weaknesses and it only needs one bad week..
I may not have a book but I do have a note app on my phone, kindle and it's available via the web so anytime I have an idea I can just note it for further consideration without worrying that I'll forget (although that's less of a worry and more of a certainty tbh)
