Morning all
Kiwi I'm so very sorry that must have been a horrible shock, my condolences to you all. Pets are part of the family.
Hugs and good wishes to all who need them, I've read through but not retained much of who posted what.
Trying to finish a couple of edging rows round a blanket so I can get it handed in as a tombola prize by the end of the week.
Also need to do so hous cleaning stuff.SPC~12 ot 124

Pink n fluffy, Peppapig, Feisty, Mrs Moneypenny, Freespirit and Ruth-Honey :
thank you for your virtual hugs and condolences it is very much appreciated. Some of our friends know we are totally dog mad but others just don’t seem to get it. I did not know about the bereavement counselling and may look into that – possibly not for myself but with volunteering at an animal sanctuary I come across lots of people that could make use of a service like this. Thank you for the info.
Freespirit – I hope you manage to get the appointment sorted out. I know they always seem to come in for a time that is inconvenient and it is hard to arrange your life around them. Most of the operators understand this and will be accommodating – you must have just found the nitwit who has no people skills. No more excuses ( :P) get phoning and just tell them it has to change to another week.
CazD – huge congratulations I am sure you and your other half are majorly excited especially after all the waiting and what you must have gone through to get to this point. What a wonderful Christmas you will both have. :j
To anyone else that needs hugs please take them as required and congrats to anyone I may have missed. Seen a couple of you have house sales etc all going well so happy days - what exciting times ahead. Just a pity timing usually is the issue on one of those things that you just want to get on with. You wonder how all the paperwork can take so long!!
Head still a bit fuzzy from all that has been going on so sorry if I’ve missed anything important.

Just got home from work to find a letter from Bank of Scotland saying they applied a charge to my car finance account in 2005 which they hadn't told me about so they are refunding, with interest and compensation for distress caused! I didn't know anything about but will happily bank the cheque for £305:jA smile costs little but creates much0

Gettingthere - Fantastic result! Surprise refunds are the best! Spend wisely ;-)
I am currently having to sit down at compose myself. DD1 (14) earlier shocked me to the core - by presenting me with a beautiful little waist apron she had "knocked together" on the sewing machine we got her for Christmas!
I could hear the machine whirring away, and figured she was making yet another phone sock for one of her friends, but no, its double sided, red & white gingham one side, and red Christmassy material the other, complete with red ribbon ties and a co-coordinating pocket!
She said it would come in handy for all the gardening I want to do once we move! I had to hold back the tears, it is the most wonderful gift I have ever received, and very well made, the girl has talent! And then when she re-appeared less than an hour later, for a smaller, equally beautiful version for her little sister (but using left over remnents) the tears came, and took a good while to stop. It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

Kiwi, so sorry to hear the bad news, hope you are coping ok.
Lucky Thumper, Freespirit, to have a lovely grannie.
RL continues to throw us curved balls, DD is becoming an expert juggler of them! l just want to give credit where it is due, the lovely lady at DDs housing association, and the entire team at Allerdale House, are being very helpful and supportive. It is the system which sucks. with their long on hold waits, and DWP beaurocrapcy.
On a happier note, I am off on a jolly with fave cousin today, and lunch included, or maybe afternoon tea, (without champagne and money back, like some on here!!-- you know who you are!)and a look in at a garden centre, yippee.0 -

MrsI, I hope you have a wonderful day
Our business cutting machine is playing up grrr. There has been talk of upgrading, but sales haven't been great this year and so we couldn't justify the expense. I'm not sure what we will do if it doesn't sort itself as replacing like for like is going to set us back a good few hundred £[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
Live in the moment more and appreciate the small things0
