Sorry to hear about your landlord Opee and I hope you find somewhere you love very soon. It must be a very unsettling feeling moving when it isn't your choice. I think a lot of people were renting places waiting for property prices to rise again and then the people who were renting them suffer because of it.

Looked after DGS (aged 1) this morning while DD and DSIL went to the gym - bless him he was so tired he sat on granddad's lap and fell asleep. Needless to say granddad was big chief proudface for the rest of the morning. This afternoon I had another lovely bike ride and sold 2 items on ebay so all in all it's been a pretty good day!
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Peppapig - we will definitely be getting more, we'd always planned on getting a couple more hens eventually, so currently thats upped to 3. Lil sis has already decided hers will be called either scrambled, or nugget... *rolls eyes*

freespirit66 - They were in the garden, was about 5pm, all 3 were here dad and mum went to fetch lil sis from college bus, and came back to 2 very noisy frantic chickens. They've been off looking for Olivia this morning :( Fried has laid a yolk this morning, and a yolk less, shell less white (it was like a water balloon.... weird...) this afternoon :(

I've been to Ikea today, I love ikea! I drive a clio, and now if you have family cards you get vouchers at the end... I won lolly makers fine fit in the car easy, my friend won a doughnut, again easy to accommodate... Little sis... she won a tall £20 mirror!!! :| managed to get it in but what a thing to win...

More sad news today, chickens are fine, but poor braveheart the fish is well not swimming... :/ He occasionally has a flutter but he is not a happy chappy. The big gold fish all seem to be doing ok still though. Not having much luck :/

Opee92 I'm guessing that your birthday is 13th May - please let me know if this is correct and I'll add you to the birthday list. So sorry to read that you are having to house hunt. Hope that you can find somewhere suitable soon.

Pixtotts Poor chooks! How distressing for them.

Evening everyone, i got another £10 survey voucher today so i got an Argos one instead of Amazon for a change, i love their 2 toys for £15 and there are a couple of things i have got my eye on for DGS for when he is here, one being a big foam playmat as he will be learning to sit soon i dont want him hurting himself on my hard laminate flooring. I am still doing my steps challenge and am now doing 4 times the average i started off with, hard to believe only adding an extra 5 steps a day, if i havent done many i get up now when the adverts are on, or walk around while the kettle is boiling, the dog thinks i am completely bonkers :rotfl:My long term aim is to be able to take Thumper for a walk without having a panic attack.

PEPPAPIG your day sounds lovely :)

MRSMONEYPENNY i dont know if you know but Trisha Ashley has some books for 99p on amazon kindle, i was very naughty and bought 3 today, but how can you not at that price???:D

PIXTOTTS oh poor little chickens they must have been so distressed, is that why Fried laid the not right eggs because of the upset? Haha love the names your lil sis has chosen :rotfl:omg how did you fit the mirror in?? Was someone squashed on the way home?? LOL. Oh no hope your fish will be ok

3FORHOLIDAYS how are the comps going?

Freespirit I've entered 4020 competitions in April and currently have a total of 1903 entries for May so far. Still waiting on my first win. Fingers crossed that it will come soon! :)

freespirit66 - yeah they say stress is the most likely cause of funny eggs. Happy chickens really do lay more eggs.
You'll like her fish names too, she has Chips and Pie lol.
I am very impressed with your step challenge so clever, surprising how quickly those 5 steps soon add up.
The mirror just fitted with the seats down and it resting on the top of my head rest, not too sure what we are going to do with it now though :/

3forholidays - Wow! That's a lot of comps! I used to enter a few and often found I got no contact saying I'd won but would often just have small things turn up in the post a couple months later with a note saying "congratulations!" lol x

Evening everyone, i have just done my online shop and this weeks new recipes are Funeral Sandwiches and Slutty Brownies :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:haha you gotta love the Americans! They are both from Pinterest.

3FORHOLIDAYS wowsers!! Its unbelievable with that amount that not one is a winner! Well done for keeping going though! I agree with PIXTOTTS that has happened to me before, a parcel so long after the competition closed that you had forgotten about and with a congratulations note, so fingers crossed!

PIXTOTTS oh bless them, i know they get really distressed and shaken up, as i read another ladies tales about a hen who survived a fox killing all her feathered friends and it took a long time for her to even stay on the ground, she liked being up high, but i never realised it affected their eggs so badly, poor little things :o Haha chips and pie :D Many a time have i had to sit crouched down with something over the top of my head for us all to fit in the car with something we bought :rotfl::rotfl:

freespirit thanks I will look up Gravity Force! Well done on the walking, that's great. Before I had Wiggle I used to try to get up and do stuff during the ad breaks - it's surprising how much you can get done! Now we hardly ever watch anything 'live' so we always forward through the ads. Those recipes sound intriguing - I shall have to look them up!

pixtotts oh no poor Olivia, poor little chickens. It's so hard because foxes can roam free so there's no stopping them sometimes. I hope the other chickens calm down soon. Well done on the placecards, I knew you could do it! Sometimes we are too self-critical of ourselves.

mrs-moneypenny ooh your DGS is a healthy weight! And good for your DD for persevering, it's not easy in the beginning but should get much easier.

Peppapig bless DGS and DH! :p

    HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY OPEE! _party_
I'm so sorry to hear you've been given notice on your house, it's always very difficult because even though you're renting you do make it like your home. I do hope you can find something suitable for you all very soon. x

Well ladies, you will be pleased to hear that I have FINALLY watched 'It's A Wonderful Life'! And yes, I did cry at the end! Luckily DH was out! :p It was quite thought provoking though and does encourage you to count your blessings. I'd recorded it from More4 so there were advert breaks, but for once I didn't mind as i'd recorded it at Christmas time last year and all the adverts were Christmas themed so I enjoyed watching them! :p

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Afternoon :D
I have just done a rather large pile of ironing (still needs going away), just need to empty the dishwasher but finally had a little time to catch up at home.
Sorry I have been absent for a while, it's so busy over here. Work is busy and I only have 6 weeks left until redundancy date, changing bits and learning at the haulage office which I will go to full time (4 days a week) from July and Wedding plans are coming along very well, the big day will soon be arriving.
I'm going to grab myself a cup of tea and sit and have a read through on what I've missed. moving forward I should be able to check in a little more regular, at least every couple of days.
    Hugs all round xx
