I keep getting sent £50 vouchers from British Gas no idea why but I keep spending them as it tells me they are complimentary gifts.
Doesn't say anything else except how to activate the card0 -
Ring them and ask if you can keep them as compensation for all the problems you have gone through.
That way you're being honest and if they refuse, then tell them to send you a pre paid returns envelope.0 -
Many years ago l had two vaguely simular instances to which after some thought, decided to keep quiet about and see what happened. The goods were kept if returns were requested.
l was lucky enough to win Christmas presents for the whole family which consisted of items of different values. After receiving many of them seperately l sent a letter of thanks to the promoter mentioning l had received most of them. l ended up with two identical TVs.
Second instance l purchased a tv on the internet with the offer of a free DVD player included. After receiving the tv the firm wrote and said the DVD player was no longer available and they
they would refund my money which they did. No mention of the tv!
Rightly or wrongly, l tell myself the ball was in their court.0 -
Spend the voucher and donate what you have bought to a Charity.
The Company probably don't have a procedure for accepting the voucher back, anyway.0 -

I think this crosses a line.
If they are for somewhere you'd shop anyway, you could spend them & be prepared to pay it back in the unlikely event of them asking for them back.0 -
They owe you money - I'd keep the voucher for that reason alone. Also, if you finally had a "successful connection" before cancelling then you are entitled to the voucher in any event.2020 Wins:

Morally you should send them back but my inclination would be to spend them, if I could be sure that they wouldn't ask for them back. :j0

Based on the fact that you've had difficulty with the company and they've already taken money from you, I'd spend with a clear conscience. In all likelihood the company is a large one and it won't inconvenience them one jot if you spend it. Perhaps you could spend half on yourself and treat someone who deserves it?
It's a different matter entirely to having money accidentally transferred into your account from an employer etc, IMHO. But it's up to youDebt free 6th December 2014

Yep, spend it. It's up to them to send the voucher out, and it's up to them to administer their process correctly. Tough on them if they've slipped up.0
