Was there at 7.45 this morning for 8am opening, very long queue but plenty to go round for everyone and all very civilised!
Spent £43quid so didn't go mad, got some mens sets - ted baker, FCUK & Lynx, lager & cider packs, sanctuary sets, just the 1 s&G set, slippers & socks. Only dissapointment was that I couldn't get any of the diffuser sets.
Could have got more if I could carry it.
Loads of the OOTW deals were left - S&G big boxes, Joules bags, Sanctuary boxes etc... Defo won't bother with any of the OOTW deals again!0 -
Very civilised at silverlink Newcastle - lots of laughing customers with aisle blocks - only one person battling to take whole self of champneys hope they stopped her a till!- got some lovely bits for church raffles over the year x0

Just been to the High St Kensington Boots. Quite a few bits upstairs, some Soap & Glory bits off to one side and lots of the cheap perfume sets. Downstairs they also had a whole stand of Nails Inc sets, but they were still out of budget for January! Got a few bits for the present box, so was happy.0

Wasn't able to go this morning to my Lakeside Branch contemplating going later - anyone know whether any of the stores had much left or is it not worth bothering with?0

Lots of S&G boxes and Joules bags but gone by the time I left. Assistant said they opened at 7 after complaints about last year. Mainly traders clearing the shelves at that time. Not so much stuff as last year. Assistants very good-humoured and helpful.2023 Target- £70k towards my 1st Home :money:£10/70k :jSave 12k in 2023 £6000/£12k Make £2023 in 2023 £500/£2023 December 2023 Target - £10k Emergency Fund Pot - £200/£10k0 -
Went to the local retail park at Birstall, was 5th in line, chatting to all in front of us about best stores to go to and what to get.
Walked in, and went around all the shelves and managed to get lots of great things, like FCUK brush sets, Jack Wills bags, Soap&Glory small set, Ted Baker nail polish, Toni& Guy hair sets...
Then went to a local store we passed on the way back and got Sanctuary sets, Benefit set, another Jack Wills bag, Soap&Glory make up and No 7 "lcutch" make up bags...
Really happy with all of it.
£268 spent, unsure of the saving yet, but all of it is split between 3 people so £88.
Points coupons used: 500 points with £35 spend and double points, so in my £108 tranasaction I got 1221 somehow!0 -
I popped into the main store in Chelmsford, Essex as I was already going past. I have been trying to minimise and pare down this year, so purposely didn't go out early.
Last year I was there at 9 (opening 830) and there wasn't much by 930. This year, I only got there at 10.15 and still managed to spend £38. I decided to only do 'practical' stuff that we'd be buying anyway--bodywash, cleanser--as long as it was a better value than what I'd normally buy.
Ended up with:
2x Tony and Guy shampoo/conditioner/spray
2x Boots Cranberry body wash/butter/scrub
2x Botanics mens body gel/face cleanser
1 pair socks, 1 hat
1x the £45 Sanctuary box down to 13.50. Ok, this one was a small luxury purchase lol. There were at least 10 when I got there, got one of the last ones.
Everyone was very civil, even having a laugh. I finally left by 11ish, they had loads of the smaller Sanctuary tins which were £10 and £14 originally, Beyonce sets, other perfumes sets, wrapping paper, tags, etc. Guessing some folks on their lunch breaks may have still found some good bargains.
I did notice a couple pulling around 2 of the big trolleys stacked up with only big Sanctuary sets and smaller ones, at least 15 sets, either a lot of people to buy for or re-sell I guess.
The only negative was the dour faced sales associate at the til, I asked her how her day was going and she point-blanked ignored me. I asked her to give me some smaller items separately as I already had a bag I could put them in and she ignored that and just bagged everything together. Having worked retail myself, I always loved the rush of Christmas and post-Christmas, happy to see people getting a good deal. She had no name tag, so assuming she wasn't a regular employee, as I always find the staff so helpful and friendly.
Thus ends another Boots sale for me. Must admit, am happy with what I purchased and glad I didn't get up early and brave the crowds and cold.0 -

I'm surprised people were allowed to buy so much of the same thing. A staff member at my local store was telling cashiers that it is a max of 6 per item.0

Liverpool store had loadss of stock this morning, infact I dont think any of the isles had been taken away since before christmas.
Everyone seemed to get on, no pushing and shoving like some used to describe in other stores either
Lots and lots of sanctuary left still. Staff were bringing rollers out by the minute too filled to the brim with stock.
Went to speke store aswell which was rubbish only a few isles and was madness compared to clayton sq! Staff who were bringing rollers out were having to corden off isles to put out stock as people were pulling things from the bottom of rollers! Nothing really worth buying there tho.0
