Hoping you girlies got what you wanted.

This year I didn't bother, I have changed my mind about the boots sale this year.

I forgot to use my threshold vouchers when I was at the Bristol store this morning - do you think they will add them on if I go to my local store later?

Probably not, but worth a try

I've just seen this very same photo on UK Extreme Couponing fb page.....
At least it's not just me who sits with allll the tabs open.

Popped out at lunchtime to another 2 branches and picked up a few small bits, Starbucks jar, No 7 lipset and No7 nail polish bauble.

Also used my No7 voucher to get the wipes for £2, thanks to whoever mentioned those. Got another voucher with my receipt YAY

Thanks for the heads up for Wilko, I'll have a look on there now :)
  • I only wanted one thing, the TLC sanctuary spa gift set and it just kept disappearing from my basket but not showing out of stock, so I rang and managed to order one over the phone it's a glitch on the website, £25 down to £7.50 well chuffed!

I think the shine has gone out of the Boots sale for a lot of people this year - my friends have told me point blank they don't want anything from Boots - no more smellies anyway.

Canary Wharf (the one by Waitrose) has masses of perfumes sets. I've still got loads from last year so gave it a miss. The one at Jubilee Place had pretty much zip when I walked past on the way in this morning.

So I'm in the ranks of the BOUGHT NOTHING this year in the 70% off!
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

For the first time in many years I'd actually forgotten about the Boots sale, but happened to walk past a small branch at 10.30 this morning.

I noticed they still had a Jack Wills sport bag, £65. It had been marked down to £30, pre-sale, as the body spray was missing.

I took it to the counter and asked if it would still have 70% taken off the £30, and to my surprise the SA said yes!

She manually adjusted the price to £9 then said "Just a minute" - I thought she'd gone off to double check the price, but no, she came back with a body spray in hand, winked at me, popped the spray in the bag and said "I'm sure you won't mind that it's been out on display? Have a nice day."

Now that's good customer service :D

Me too, glad I'm not the only one :o I even have a £50 gift card for Boots and really couldn't be bothered to do it. Not sure why, just lost its sparkle for me and I'm usually obsessed with a capital O :D
I think because there's been so many deals throughout the year I'm actually not bothered about having a present box this year as I know I can stock up during the year with the silly Tesco glitches etc.

I got this in my local Boots this morning for £13.50 (down from £45). It's just a small store. There were a few other bits and pieces 70% off but it was this that caught my eye! Not sure whether to use it as a gift or keep it for myself!!
  • Sorry to burst the bubble, but the sale has started today 14/01/15, just been into my local branch and got some bits for gifts during the year.
