Barclaycard paid in full on the 8th Jan but still shows a balance of £6500 on my Experian credit file.
I'm currently in the middle of a mortgage application and this is causing me no end of issues as they cannot get the "system" to disregard the £6500 even though I can prove it was repaid.
How did you all get on in the end?
You're asking a bit much if you think it would have been updated by now. Barclaycard in my experience have always been notoriously slow in updating - they are usually 2 months behind. I just checked my Noddle which was a new report generated today, and even though we are close to the end of Feb, my Barclaycard account is still showing the last update as 31/12/15.
Can you not print off a copy of your online statement for your mortgage provider to show the nil balance?I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I am in the middle of a conpont with BC for the exact same thing.
Their behaviour here is in breach of the ICO guidelines (but not the DPA, that's different). They have another 18 days to fix it before I write that letter!0 -
who is the proposed mortgage supplier?0

As Candy has said, can you not print a statement from Barclaycard and provide this to your lender? I have to say lenders updates to the CRA are variable. For example MBNA seem to update nearly the same time every month whereas Halifax are slow, on my file today they still haven't updated since December. I do agree it's ridiculous in this day and age, updates should be weekly!0

One can pay the balance off one day and spend it again the next day.0
