Barclaycard not updated credit file after lump payment?

in Credit cards
Hi I am a bit miffed as to why in November I paid a lump sum, a large lump of money infact off of my credit card I have with Barclaycard.
I have noticed that on my credit report they have not updated November nor December. Am I correct in saying they need to issue the details to the credit file agency's so they can update file?
why would they not have passed this information on? when they have been spot on up to this point?

I think they update the details monthly. When was it "in November"?0

yes November was when I paid the lump sum.... the balance is still showing the same amount. payment date was 10th November.0

I am currently going through a complaint with these for the exact same thing! Paid off in full October 10th and wasn't showing on November nor December credit reports! They tell me they update files 2 weeks after statement date well they quite clearly haven't in my case so I've made a complaint. Cra's have said they update straight away when they get the info...0

Which CRA are you looking at?
Noddle only updates your file once a month. I get my one pretty much the first day of the month. It also tells you when the credit information was updated.
So my current report was generated 2/12/14. My MBNA details on it were updated 31/10/14, more than a month before.
I think you quite simply haven't given it enough time, I'd expect it to be through soon.
I understand though that any companies checking your file get the most recent information they have, not the monthly report you get, which is a snapshot at a fixed point in the month.0 -
I'm on noddle and check my file which is all three. Noddle on 4th each month check my file in the middle of each month so in my case they've had more than enough time to update it! Not sure on OP's but barclaycard tried telling me it was the CRA'S fault as they are the ones who can take upto 6 weeks to update files. According to the CRA'S they update straight away so who knows who's slow!0

I think lenders and CRAs should report in real time as someone has previously mentioned in another thread.
However not all lenders report on a monthly basis.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

I sent a secure messsge regarding this and they basically replied stating they are not obligated to share account information with the CRAs.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

That's more than what I got. They escalated to a complaint which I received a letter the other day apologising for not answering it yet and they hope to have done by feb 2nd!
Seems to me like no one knows :rotfl:0
