Oh valli what sad news. It really makes you appreciate what you have. Today's crash gave us all a fright but relatives who were shopping in Glasgow are home safe and well. We have to think of all the families involved and how hard Christmas will be for them especially for your mum's NDN.

I have managed to finish writing cards and wrapping presents. We had Christmas carols on the village green and then in the church. I joined them in then church so I didn't have any standing around. It was a great turnout and the singing was enough to raise the rafters!

Tomorrow I will be rallying the troops or DS2 and Mr P to get some tidying up done so we can have a stress free Christmas Eve. Mr P is now retired and is doing a lot to help.

    Valli- what awful news.
I have done a little more ironing and have laid everything out ready to pack tomorrow. Just a couple of bits to iron in the morning as they were a bit wet tonight.

Will definitely need a list tomorrow as everything is whizzing round my head!

Gosh - how awful. It always seems particularly poignant at this time of year. Sending virtual condolences to the family.

We have been watching the terrible accident in Glasgow today, which obviously is all over Scottish TV. It was right outside the Mr S where my DH delivers sometimes and he is an HGV driver and he seemed particularly affected by the news.

    ******************************

Natty - hope your pains soon ease a bit. It helps to keep warm and get plenty of sleep.
LW - glad you survived the 'do'. I hardly ever remember anyone's name and also often recognise people by their shape, size and posture as I can't see faces at a distance.
CY - I know the money laundering stuff is ridiculous. Earlier this year I had to show my passport to change £300 in euros and they said it was because of money-laundering regulations. I mean £300
Mamaninie - If you look on-line about cleaning ovens there is loads of advice and even videos on UT, without paying someone or using loads of chemicals. Should be on the OS threads on here as well. It's not so bad once you start on it :)

    Tuesday - Time's nearly up!!!
    Vacuum through downstairs..
    Mop the kitchen floor!
Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good!
Prepare a list for that last second shopping
Have a skim through the TV guide and decide what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!! Don't forget to make time for Queenie!

Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat!

I'm soo sorry that so many fly-people and their families are poorly. I am sending out general get-better-soon vibes to all and sundry and a suggestion to take loads of vitamin C, some vitamin D and zinc.

    Morning everyone.

My cards have arrived. Thank you very much. I enjoyed opening them and reading them last night.

Presents have been picked up and delivered by DGS1.thats a good help for me. Today I'm at work and have a small Xmas party with other volunteers. Then it's SW and hair cut.

House is looking good and nice and tidy. What shopping I need is in just need to get some milk. I'm out Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

That's an awful tragedy in Glasgow. So devastating for all involved.

Valli That is so sad. So sorry to hear that.

    Hugs,spoons and sticks where needed.

    Morning all

Binmen have just been, lots of people had not put theirs out for early collection when I came home late last night. I bet they put them out normal day and leave them out over the Christmas period plus have an entire month's worth of rubbish by the next collection.

Mogs fed, just having a cuppa then I'll have a shower and go and do my food shop before it hopefully gets too busy.

Morning all. Such sad news all round yesterday, somehow seems worse at this time of year, though of course it's not. I'll be thinking of all those with an empty space at the Xmas dinner table this year.

Right, just two sleeps to go, so this morning I am finally getting in the Xmas spirit and will be making mince pies. Old fashioned style - like little hats. And then I'll try to fit in some ironing before the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.
