Well done everyone, keep going! Been to local shops and got the last few bits I've needed (except dads..... might need to make him a quick hat)
kitchen blitzed - hob, worksurfaces, sink, emptied toaster of crumbs and wiped some walls - it certainly needed it,:eek: but fridge and mopping still outstanding. The oven is a lost cause, I'm going to get someone in with chemicals to do it in the new year:cool: WM x 2 on as we speak.
cooking some sausage rolls to have with beans for (late!!) lunchthen I'll get to it. PArsnip soup already made for tea for DH and I, with my mountain of excessively ordered parsnips...., will do omelette and veg for the kids earlier.
I've started a star points chart for the kids in a moment of genius and they are now falling over themselves to do helpful things to earn star points. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I have achieved very little today except make pasta bake for team I have hung a load on airer and emptied dw.
However I have achieved making cool cardz and decorating butterfly figures with the dds. Weve just finished watching harry potter and are having 5 mins before we plsy some games on the wii. So I think im achieving lots of much needed time with them as im at work for the next 2 morning.
Much love and thoughts to all flyladies x0 -

Successful trip out. Getting nearer to being done. Just having a cuppa then going to collect DS3, cook dinner and drop DS2 at a friend's. Wrapping and food shopping will have to wait until tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Well I've cleaned the fridge - that was a job and a half - I pulled the salad drawer out at the bottom which I normally just wipe in the fridge as you have to take the door compartments out to get it out and there had been a spillage underneath it. I have no idea what it was but it was jelly like, very sticky and refused to come off without a lot of elbow grease! I'm going to clear the table now and put some stuff on there and then wash the dishes.

Well, I survived.... got the "fallout" with my nerves today though; I keep shaking. There seemed to be loads of people there, some neighbours from the next close as well. Already I've forgotten loads of names (when you've spent ages thinking of someone as "Tasha's Mummy" or "Kira's Daddy" you don't take in their actual name
) but I've tried to make a conscious effort to memorise something specific about the appearance of each person so that I stand a chance of knowing who they are if I see them whilst dog-walking. The dog-owners are easy, as I recognise the dogs; the others may well be a challenge.
I suspect most of today's list won't apply here - let's have a look:
Monday Mayhem..
- Make sure you have all the shopping you need to take you through to next week.. milk and bread especially! It is a Bank Holiday on Thursday so some shops are not open.. the big supermarkets are though. Done Saturday; we visited @ldi at 18:30 and were in and out in quarter of an hour! It was dead it there :T and I got everything I required. Next shopping will be F&V run on Saturday.
- Make sure the last of the presents are wrapped I will not have people sitting up while 5am on Christmas morning wrapping! N/A
- Have we located stockings? N/A
- S&S the kitchen Done
- S&S the bathroom/s and loo's Done - Mr LW gave the loo a really good scrub yesterday, as he can put more "oomph" behind it than I can.:A
- Clean the oven and hob ready for your feast! It's clean, but we only have the same amount of food as normal; we've both worked hard to lose weight and don't want to regain it.
- Clean the fridge to accommodate you bounty of food Fridge already contains all we're going to need to put in it.
- Change any bedding you need to get washed before the fat guy arrives.. and I do not mean the OH/parent/ etc Bed done Saturday, as always
- Make sure your timetable for Christmas Day is sorted and everyone knows their tasks.. who is spud peeling? Who is stuffing the bird etc..? And for those who aren't spending the day at home could you do some of the help where you are? N/A
- Catch up on the laundry .. ironing is tomorrows job! All under control - bath-towel wash tonight.
- Phone someone you 'forgot' to post a card/present to in time.. just so they know you've not forgotten them... N/A
- Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself.. reading.. relaxing.. goggling... remember you are important too. Ronnie's been walked. That's the best job of the day, for me.
- Change pet bedding and wash their blankies etc.. we don't want them putting you off your christmas sprouts! N/A - he brought a lovely clean bed with him.
- Dust round the whole downstairs WIP - it's like painting the Forth Bridge, when you finish it needs starting again!!
- do a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs N/A - no clutter:o
- Have a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs I assume that should read UPstairs - N/A, we don't have an upstairs!:rotfl:
- Children... quick.. tidy your rooms you don't want Santa thinking you don't look after your stuff.. he might not leave any presents! N/A
- Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs! To do when Mr LW can entertain Ronnie for me, hopefully this evening.:o No stairs.;)
- Mop the kitchen floor! Will vacuum with the rest of the place (we have carpet tiles in there, so don't wet-mop it)
- Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good! Will do shortly - there's only the normal few bits. Can't delegate, as Ronnie can't reach the sink and the bl00dy House-Wights seem to have gone on strike.:rotfl:ETA: Done - I always wait til I've finished the pot of coffee to avoid running two bowls of washing-up water.:money:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 - Make sure you have all the shopping you need to take you through to next week.. milk and bread especially! Managed to get DS a haircut. Took him to a barbers owned by a Turk, DS was very interested in the guy who was having a hot shave. I explained what they were doing and said he might like that when he's grown up and got bristles, lol. He had a feel of his chin and said "I don't think I'm getting any" :rotfl: he's 5 lol
Since then I've done a couple of hours paid stuff while the kiddies have played and watched tv. Just doing dinner then it will be bath time. DS is quite itchy after his trim. I will remake their beds while they are in and out of bath. And vac the stairs if there's time.
Bins are a day early this week, not sure I can put it out tonight though it's wild here. Might set my alarm to remind me in the morning...
Tonight I think we'll do tidying upstairs. We made a start on DD room this morning. To be fair, they are not bad, but I did want to have a cupboard sort.
LW I'm rubbish with names - I'm sure no-one remembers everybodys names. I do that annoying Yorkshire thing and call people "love" if I've forgottenhope you can start to relax somewhat now x
crowdpleaser I'm trying to do the same, some pre-Christmas quality time! XBossymoo

Kitchen Done!
Bathroom Done!
Two loads of washing, a quick supermarket shop for turkey and a few extra bits.
Went to favourite nursery with DS2 and successfully bought the loppers I want. Overgrown shrubs in the garden will be tackled in the New Year.
Just had half an hour on here, and a cup of tea, and am just about to help DD with her meal for her friends.
Quite a few jobs on the mega Monday list have been done, but I am working to my own list.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Bossy I'm not too worried about the names. but I'll be mortified if I blank someone through not recognising them. Tell you how bad it is, if I wait in the car while Mr LW does an errand, I recognise him returning not by his face, but by having noted what he's wearing and from his walk!!
Off to try and get some dins down Ronnie now.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
