oh.. I have an assortment of Christmas packages still to arrive.. a tv, 2 phones, 2 shelf units and some 'bits' and a box from Matalan, a couple of onesies from M&S sale.. OMG.. there are loads to come still!!! Adding it up, I've spent very little though.. as usual! I am glad I saved the money from KH for Christmas though, I'd never have afforded it otherwise.

I must catch up on the laundry I have many baskets after bedroom tidying was done. and Christmas day is going to be spent clearing the worktop of doom in the kitchen..

It is pointless putting up a tree now so I'm quite simply not.. whether their rooms are tidied or not.. I have 3 little ones and they will suffice..

Having said an hour ago that I was too tired to do any wrapping tonight, I decided to make a start on DH's presents and have wrapped all of them (only bits and bobs - his main present will be for his birthday in January). The remainder may get done tomorrow. I've just remembered that we had planned to go out tomorrow from about 3.00 to 9.00, so by the time I've shopped early, visited my friend (who is causing me worry again) and cooked a meal, that's another day written off.

It's a good thing we shall not be giving the other gifts until Saturday!
  • i am here burning the midnight oil......doing flying of the legalese variety, but have a much clearer idea of what I can present to my eagles on one of my cases.....DD1 is going to help with the flying list tomorrow as she has to go back to Uni on Tuesday and i won't get to see her til mid January for a family do.

Right.....time for shut eye, but maybe a small portion of crumble to stop the rumble in my tumble!
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • I'm in....is not looking bad here tbh though

    Morning all

Dreadful night's sleep with DH snoring and tossing and turning so I'm having a a quiet cuppa on the sofa before making a start on the day.

    Carried over:
Hoover and dust bedroom - kids all to assist
DS1 to sort new bank account
    Finish cutting up tree prunnings
    Tidy dining room/office and dust
    Dust LR
    Tidy DH office - started
Check which parcels have not arrived
    Water the tree
Put bin out for early collection

    This week:
    Look at tv guide
    Food shop
    Change beds
    Wrap presents
    Sort sleepover
    Arrange to see friends
    Ring Mum
    Hoover and mop kitchen floor
    S&S toilets and sinks
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

Woohoo Xmas week. Morning flyladies, thanks for the list Natty and hope your pain eases soon.

Right, got an hour before getting ready for the paid stuff and walking the dogs, will see what I can cross off today's list.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning everyone. Up early as ndn coming round tonight so I need to do two days' work in one and make a pudding!!!

Hello to LL and hope your social wasn't as bad as you feared LW.
Natty I too was going to say about ibuprofen and paracetamol. Please remember to eat something before ibuprofen as it can upset stomach. If desperate see if GP can prescribe some tramadol - they were my magic pills for my neck!!

Hope everyone else is catching up with the wrapping - nothing more to do here as "we don't do presents" for each other.

May not post too often over Xmas - just because.

I do wish each and every one of you all the very best for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You have all been absolutely fabulous - so very supportive and tbh I don't know how I would have made it through my first year of not working without you. Big hugs - sorry Piggers!

    Morning All

Still coughing like I don't know what to the point of nearly making myself sick and having bought 6 boxes of tissues on Saturday I think I'm going to have to fetch some more today!

Loads to do though before Christmas eve when everyone comes to mine so I haven't got time to be ill! I need to go through my freezers in a minute to see what I've already bought and what I still need to get for Christmas eve and then I can do my shopping list. The DR table needs clearing then when I've checked the cupboards to see what I've already got in I can pull it out ready to use and the table will be ready for setting as well. I need to walk the dog and then I'll be ready to go to Mr Ms before I then see what jobs to do when I get back!
