Help With DFS

Hello I wonder if anybody could help?

I ordered a new sofa, chairs and foot stool from DFS I ordered over the phone after visiting the store, firstly the colour of the swatches in store did not match the ones on line I wanted Black so when I asked about this they told me the grey was in fact a very dark grey nearly black so went ahead with the order and agreed to confirm colour after they sent me colour swatches.

After receiving the swatches (4 of ) I agreed that this is the colour that I wanted.

Last monday they got delivered and the sofa and so on were very much lighter to what I expected so go my swatches out and none of them matched so Complained to DFS they made me deal with the store because that's who delivered it ??? so a 9 days later they sent someone out with his swatches which didn't match also !!! to come and have a look, he tried telling me that not every leather is the same and the swatches are as a guild but then went on to say every sofa I have seen in this collection and colour is the same as yours? so he took some photos and said he would write a report and I should send my complaint in and take it from there.

Does anybody know where I stand ? can I insist they come and take it as it is not the colour advertised ?

Hi Pink

I think you have every right to return what is an incorrect order for a full refund whether you get one from this bunch is another matter.

Tell them in writing that you are not accepting the goods and that you want a full refund. Keep a record of all conversations and emails letters etc. just in case.

If I were you I would not re-order with DFS if you read this forum you would understand why, the quality they sell is lacking to say the least.

Hi thanks for your reply I have had 3 sofas off DFS in the last 20 years and never had a problem but I have always gone for the more expensive range so dont know if this is why they have always seavred me well, I have wrote a very long email telling them why I am not happy and so on and as of yet not requested a refund but I am thinking of sending another one and asking.

None of your images appear to have worked so I can't see just how different the sofa is from the sample. You are entitled to reject the sofa for a full refund if it doesn't conform to contract though, and the colour is part of the contract.

To be honest, it looks lie the right colour... But covered in mould!

Probably just the way the photo makes it appear but that's what it looks like to me

Hahaha yes it does never really looked at it like that, I like it even less now

Have you tried brushing the suede? Depending on the direction the nap, the suede can appear to vary in colour.
