Not enough work for it to become the main job?scubaangel wrote: »Loved the film, although it would have taken something pretty impressively bad for me not to.

Is this a different friend to the one I'm thinking of - her mini-me is surely a bit too mini?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Sod that it'll be up to whatever idiot creature thinks they can tolerate me to keep me upright
Oh I listen lots, I just drink lots while I'm at it.
At minimum wage theres no way it could become the main job, but the extra cash will be useful, and the only reason I'm going to the main job is so that I don't annoy my team by not joining in with the gardening, but I'll only be doing about half my contracted hours (over 4 days) and the shortfall can come off the time I'm owed.
More because I don't think Ellen DeGenres would have signed on if she didn't think it was a good story to tell, and I don't think Pixar can do a bad job on the visuals.
Nope never too mini to start being indoctrinated! She's already watched Nemo several times, and seems to enjoy it (unlike her father's attempts to get her interested in Star Wars which made her cry). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'm sure there's plenty of creatures around who find you easy to tolerate...scubaangel wrote: »Nope never too mini to start being indoctrinated! She's already watched Nemo several times, and seems to enjoy it (unlike her father's attempts to get her interested in Star Wars which made her cry).
If it was the one with Jar-Jar Binks in, then many thousands of grown men have cried at that film... :rotfl:"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

They hide better than Hank then!
Or possibly it's me that successfully hides.
No he's a traditionalist, he started her on the originals - even muted she screamed as soon as it started. I suspect the bright colours in Nemo are what kept her happy but it works for me and if her Mum thinks it's worth taking her to see Dory I'm happy to do it (aka any excuse to see it again without the sideways looks because I'm an "adult" sat alone). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Less happy was coming home from work on monday night to find that there is definitely a leak somewhere in the roof as theres a lovely damp patch of ceiling in the corner of my bedroom.
Emailed the letting agent who are waiting for confirmation from my landlord. God only knows what confirmation they want.
Full time job have asked me to cover a couple of over night shifts so am looking forward to that. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Confirmation that he's going to pay for it. Confirmation that's is a leak from the roof and you haven't just wet the bed with attitude..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hmm well they can't confirm that until someones been out to have a look at it which I would have thought is a thing which should be a priority.
Last day of double shifts done, quite happy as I've recieved £20 in tips this evening - all from people who after asking what happened to tips insisted I keep it for myself and not share (one guest shoved it in to my hand as I was walking out of the building after signing out at reception). Money has been deposited in to my big savings tin already. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hmm...that would imply that your cow-orkers made a somewhat less than favourable impression compared to yourself."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Two sets of guests were mid afternoon when I was looking after the terrace, the other two were dinner guests - a big group of Chinese who had limited English, which meant my Polish colleague had no chance of translating and the ones I saw as I left were just rather drunk having been drinking on the terrace when I arrived mid afternoon, had wine with dinner then liquer coffees!
I expect other colleagues will have been given tips by the guests I didn't see much of and all meals in the restaurant have a 10% service charge added which gets divided between all the front of house and kitchen staff on shift. It'll be interesting to see how much that works out to in my payslip at the end of the month. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
