Finally spoke to the landlord this evening, they'll call me in the morning to let me know what time they can come and take a look.

Also spoken to the new place about my shifts so I now know I'm doing dinner tomorrow and breakfast lunch shift on Thursday. So I'll take my running kit on Thursday and explore routes around the ponds and common - it'll be slow and it'll be hilly and it'll hurt as its all sand tracks but its a gorgeous area.

The Reserves are patient at the moment - the system is such a mess from what I hear once they get you to the Centre doors they'll wait!

Can't argue about the cost of everything- I was just glad with the diving my parents bought me kit, saved alot over the years I was diving regularly.

Whilst waiting for the washing to finish so I can go for a swim I've managed to put together another box of books to send to ziffit, just need to tape the label to the box and I can drop it off on my way to work this evening. So thats another 8 books out of the house and roughly £8 in to my paypal account in a week or so.

Still got enough books ziffit won't take at the moment to fill another box but as most of the ones I'm sending in this shipment are ones they've not wanted in the past I'll just keep trying until they will take them.

I tend to get biscuit boxes from work, they're almost exactly the same dimensions as 6 hardback books, so usually I can get 1 or 2 hard backs and fill the rest of the space with paperbacks or DVD's. I also prefer printing the label, I means I get the stuff out of the flat quicker - which is much easier now I pass two drop off stores on my way to the second job.

Had a sit down with the Ops Manager at job 2 this evening, he was wanting to check that I'm happy working there and if there's anything I wanted to check/confirm or talk about. He finished up by saying that so far everyone I've worked directly along side has said that I've been quick efficient and just got on with things - including the grumpy chef, and apparently there has been some really good guest feedback which they think is about me (it referenced the blonde trainee - there are two of us wearing trainee badges while we wait for our named ones to arrive and the other girl is more red head than blonde). So yay etc. He also said he's going to try to push for me to get paid more than minimum wage given that most of the staff live in and I don't and unlike the other couple of part timers who they know are only around for the summer they want to do what they can to keep me on the books as long as we can make it work (he also mentioned that if a suitable full time role came up in the future they'd love for me to apply).

Amazing how I've walked out feeling valued, and motivated to keep doing long hours even if I don't have to.....yet my main job has never managed to achieve the same when I have to be there!

At main job now for the weekend, took myself out on the bike for a bit earlier far too hot for cycling on these hills so did about 2 miles then took the shortcut back to the building.

Happily(?) my bank balance is going to get a bigger boost than I anticipated as the guests have had their flight rearranged so are now leaving a day later than we thought - this means another overnight here for me which works perfectly as long as job 2 don't want me on a breakfast shift Monday morning.

Currently making the most of being alone at work and on a sofa in the lounge with the olympic's on drinking wine with a piece of victoria sponge cake.

And there I was thinking Victoria sponge cake would be more of a port drinker... ;)

It's a Soave, and of course but I also know that port like red wine (since after all thats what it is) gives me horrendous hangovers.

Well I can drink red wine with no problems at all. I just don't really like it (especially oak aged) all that much compared to other things.

    Like port... ;):p
