More small changes to my habits mean I now run SBTV and encrave until I hit the first target then set off the reward radio on instagc. Will have to see how long that lasts since I tend to use insta for amazon vouchers of which I currently have plenty (as of last night over £90 in the account) although they do have a paypal option it has fees attached which I generally try to avoid.

Have organised the books I've read since I moved in to the flat which I don't plan to keep and have a few to take to work to see if anyone at work wants them and almost a small box full to be scanned to see if I can ziffit them, will redownload the app and see what I can get for them tomorrow and fill the box with some of the DVD's I still have boxed up.

No where near the end of the emails that landed whilst I was with my friend though despite my best efforts over the last couple of days but I'll keep working on that

The problem isn't thin walls, its more that the floor is poorly sound proofed - a downside I suspect of the lovely looking laminate in the flat as its constructed over the walk way everyone puts the big bags under nights like this are quite noisy.

Is it some kind of room over an arch type affair?

Thats the easiest way to describe it yup.

I know I used to get stuff from them but stopped when I started living in places with limited storage - once I get the utility cupboard downstairs sorted out I might start doing amazon grocery orders again (although I was a big S&S fan which I think now is only for Prime customers).

No, I think it's the usual "Prime stuff for Prime customers, everything else for the easily factorised..."

It has a fairly poor energy efficiency rating but given it has new double glazing, and a new central heating system I don't know how bad it was before but on the whole I find it comfortable, but as I've said before I don't seem to feel cold/warm the same as other people do.

Looking at the thermostat for the heating the room is around 16c, but I've got the heating set to 14c so it hasn't been on at all today - that however is with the living room windows closed as the wind last night was coming straight at them the windows at the back of the flat (kitchen and bedroom) are locked open so there's plenty of air moving without being drafty, but that's why I want some rugs in the bedroom and corridor area so it feels warmer under foot with the laminate.

Usually, if a solid material conducts sound well, then it conducts heat well.

Arches are bad as not only roof and walls exposed to the wind, but the floor as well.

Don't forget that as well as blowing cold air in, in the lee of a house, the wind creates a vacuum which sucks hot air out if you let it.

It's only really the bottles I could hear rattling around, and as I saw a neighbour on my way in this afternoon she mentioned it'd kept her awake too and she uses the bedroom at the back of her house which is furthest from the passageway.

I know but I can't sleep if the windows are completely closed - I need the fresh air to settle.

I don't like slippers, I do tend to live in warm fleecy or wooly socks at home though but if I find some I like I shall be buying them.

First day back in work wasn't too bad, we did some cleaning and wrote the rest of the weeks rota. Nice quiet one to ease back in to it - and means I have plenty of time to get the S.E jobs done I have booked for this week, think I'm going to go out this evening to get one or possibly two done depending on how long the first takes then will do the other one/two tomorrow after work.

Have a fairly small list of things I could do with buying next time I'm in a supermarket but nothing urgent mainly store cupboard stuff as I realised I have no tinned veggies or fruit and I don't want to find myself always going for the baked beans in the local shop when I run out.

I got one SE job done tonight, decided it wasn't worth trying to do the other two since the office I needed to see someone in was closed after 5pm - every other supermarket has access to the info I needed via customer services or a shop floor staff member. It became a real hassle when everything I asked them to help me with was responded to with I need a manager or I can't do that it's Admins job.

On the plus side the data as limited as it is has been sent and I ought to be able to get out of work early enough tomorrow to get at least one of the visits done before the office shuts (and Friday is a fairly early finish too).

Also just had £30 from gtm arrive in my paypal, I've withdrawn it but will be transferring it to my sister to cover the money I owe her for my half of Mum's pressie.

Got the other two jobs done last night and sent the data.

Then promptly fell asleep for several hours, so didnt achieve very much else. Seems like I had a lazy day today home from work popped in to the shop for dinner and don't seem to have got anything else done since then.

And now you're making your neighbours all sound like plonkies... :rotfl:

Having a stock is always a good thing. I ran mine down when I thought I was moving - bad mistake.
