    I've been Money Tipped!
As I was updating my signature I've noticed I'm at 92% of my target, I'll probably get to my target with my end of May op, at which point I'll need a new challenge. I suppose I was being a bit conservative in my first year doing this, not knowing how much I actually had spare each month.

Can I change my target please lomcevak? I would like to up it to £6000. #79

  • #79 pleased to report an unexpected op of £900 this morning.

Boss randomly handed me £1000 yesterday and told me he appreciated me and the hard yards I had put in over the past couple of months, call it a bonus.

Wow!!! Any jobs available? ;) Well done on clearly doing such a good job and congrats on (nearly) meeting your first target.

Spreadsheet updated, and some more great OPs -

Well done on the bonus, engineer amy, and for OPing most of it (think that keeping a bit back for a treat is just right though :) ). I've updated your target to £6k, good luck!

19 months off your mortgage finish date is a great achievement Yorkielass in such a short time, I find watching the end date come closer is a great motivation as you can really see the effects of the OPs build up - if you focus too hard on the overall balance it can seem overwhelming. Next month should see me hit 5 years off the original term of mine :)
hope you enjoy your Scandinavian adventures!

Things can only get better :D ... it was Copenhagen this week, lot of effort for less than 14 hours on the ground (including less than 5 hours sleep :( between calls and meetings), apart from taxi to/from the airport I never got out of the hotel. Sometimes there's no alternative but to get out there to talk face-to-face, but that was fairly painful. Stockholm next week, hopefully at a slightly slower pace...

And my usual £600 monthly OP from me, although for once it's not the one and only OP for the month - I have a cash ISA maturing in a couple of weeks, and rather than roll it over we've decided that we have enough cash savings available elsewhere so it's going on the mortgage instead. Our mortgage rate is higher than we could get in ISA savings, and i've already filled all the current account 'savings' options so feels like the right thing to do

Also gets us past the £150k milestone :)

    #69 reporting for duty!

had our mortgage statement through, and the new payment took effect from April. Our built in OP is now £154.96.

So I need to add that to the £60 already reported for April (bringing April's total to £214.96).

May's total currently stands at £194.96.

bringing my 2015 total to £857.55/£3000 or 28.6%.

  • I've not been around for a while so updating with:
    March £171.80
    April £171.80
    May £171.80

This is our standard OP - no extras at the moment as we are saving for a new kitchen and a wedding!! Which means we won't hit the target but I will keep it as it is just for the extra motivation to add any little bits and pieces if they become available!
  • Hi Lomecevak,

MFW No.148 reporting in with an OP of £500 for May.
