  • #27 here. Checking in with a sneaky £50 overpayment thanks to ebay sales. Hoping to add more tomorrow. That takes me to total of £1082 overpayments for January.

    Overpaying is so addictive its untrue. Counting the days to payday when i make another assault on the balance. Plus reading everyone else's payments gives you a hint of jealousy in the waiting period!!!

    In the meantime its endless looks at spreadsheets and constant tinkering with "what if"... And that look from the wife with rolled eyes, knowing she's muttering "weirdo" to herself...!

    So no overpayments scheduled for another 12 sleeps, but i've checked my online account and worked out that for Dec '14 our average daily interest was £13.48 which is 22 months ahead of where we would have been with overpaying for a few years, and 1 month ahead of where I thought we actually where.

    So although the early years seems to be painstakingly slow the benefits are definitely there to see with the aid of the wonderful tool called spreadsheets!
