Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

OP, out of curiosity, has your son got a GF?
Sometimes events occur and couples get the invites and singles are 'omitted'.0 -
How old is your son?0
-
He is 20. No, no girlfriend... That was his thinking
He is now getting snap chats from folk he knows at the wedding
albeit folk he expected to be there.
The couple are popular and well known, they can't have everyone at the wedding. He understands that, one of the reasons he didn't expect and didn't look for an invite.
Having looked at a recent photo of the team, I expect he is the only main player that won't have been invited. I truly don't think it will have been intentional, but hurts none the less.

After all the OP wasn't invited although her sister was - and she doesn't seem to think that is strange.
Missed this bit.
I didn't think this strange in the slightest. No one else from my immediate family was invited and never expected to be. My sister has been a close friend of the bride for many years.
i know the parents of the team and they are not there.0 -
A few thoughts
1) if they disliked your son and it was commonly known among the team, I doubt they will send snapchats. They would be cautious
2) perhaps they were tight on numbers and thought the sister going was representative of the family
Does sister not query why son not invited?0 -
Also son is 20. Time to cut the apron string and not do so much worrying for him0

I don't think as a parent you ever stop worrying about your children, whatever age they are.0
