Delivery from 0cado today - £33.01, and had yogurt, UHT, bananas/grapes, frozen fruit and frozen fish fillets.
Nothing I NEED as such as I was suckered in by the offer of 25 off 60. should have been 35.60, but I rejected a couple of subs.
Should now only need to spend £7.50 getting breakfast for the next 3 Fridays with a colleague at work, £3.30 for 3 weeks of eggs with the egg man, and £2 on milk in the milk club for the month.
EDIT: Anyone know the best value place to stock up on tinned tuna? I'm reluctant to spend a pound per 200g tin, but can't find any striking offers and am down to 4 tins in the store cupboard. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

cw18 - I have found there are always offers. Or have been for the last decade! Don't be too hard on your budget
You just need to be flexible about what you are eating when.
Today I did a top up shop of things to make interesting meals this week. I set a budget of £10 and spent £10.02. YS stuff was mainly unhealthy food so swerved except cheese/ I thin I have £10 for top ups next 2 weekends, and tenner for emergencies left, so happy with that.
I got
- throat pastilles (ill, boo)
- loo roll
- grapes and bananas
- tomatoes
- fromage frais + quark
- tinned beans and vegge sausages
- YS cheese w/chives
- quorn sausages
- fudge bar
which think is not bad for the money
I'm making a mushroom risotto which should do me for dinner for 3 days. Am using up leftover wine. A lot. Alcohol kills germs, I reckon.
While I was looking for the rice, I found an unopened packet of dried figs. Other than yumming them as is, any ideas?2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -

I'm not sure what brand you are after but Farmfoods have 2 for £5 on the 4 packs of John west.
Or I use Aldi's at 62p for chunks or 49p for flakes so both around the £2 mark for 4 tins xx
Last night was takeaway night. I have allowed us 2 this month but it cost £20.20 and as I am now counting it towards grocery spends I am reluctant to have another this monthWe only went to the chippy aswell
Anyway I will add it to my siggy in a minute.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
£14.71 spent yesterday on drinks, cheese, apples, and biscuits. We've started walking further to get better deals (no car for us), so the biscuits give us fuel to get home with heavy backpacks of food and drink
Cooked a lovely shepherd's pie, baked some coffee muffins, and have chili on in the slow cooker. Will be freezing the leftovers, so have lots and lots of lovely HM meals! Today will be a NSD, and I don't see any big shops needed for at least a week. So far I'm standing at £85.31 for Jan.0 -
