  • Well, £55.98 spent yesterday. £44.82 at Mr S (stuck to the list bar 2 items, which is a first for us!) and then the remainder in Savers picking up some dishwasher tabs, mouthwash and toothpaste. Not too shoddy at all for us.

When we came home from shopping, OH wanted something different for tea but I made him stick to what was planned. Total so far is £189.85/£350.
How long til pay day?

Thank you to mrs-moneypenny for the reminder about posting budgets big and red. It really helps me to see the budgets and note them down when I'm skimming the thread.

Caterina - hope the op went well and you are doing ok.

Was trying to not shop until Thursday but just HAD to go and get some fruit as none in at all. Only spent £6.06 and just got apples, bananas, oranges, bread and some kippers for DH.
Really didn't feel like much for my tea tonight so just made some pancakes and had them simply with lemon & sugar. Hubby had the kippers with bread & butter then a couple of pancakes.

A small spend of 2.98 on a £1 jar of lazy garlic, a large savoy cabbage and a huge bag of kale.
I will need to do our first big shop of the year tomorrow as we are running out of toilet rolls and toothpaste and cheese.

  • NSD yesterday, 6th of the month, but have to go into the city today, so will probably pop into the restaurant supply store and see what they have reduced.

Am having an MRI scan to see if the chemo is working, so fingers crossed.

My name is CherryPie, and I'm a grocery shopping addict!

I went to Ald! for some of their super 6, only got tomatoes. But they had parsnips & savoy cabbage beside them for only 20p, would've been rude not to!

Went to visit my niece, then remembered I needed bread and milk, which cost me £28.65 in Sainsbugs. OK, so the bread & milk was £2.45, but I've been looking for a new frying pan for ages, and the ceramic ones are all half price. So I treated myself. Oh, plus 4 x DVD's and a book for the present cupboard so although I spent more than hoped, it was all frugal & worthwhile!

Actual spends added to the GC were £3.04
