I'm coming back to the challenge as of 1st Jan

January budget is £253.10, including everything I use from my pre 01/01/2015 stockpile (hoping that doing this will give me a much more accurate figure as to what I should set my budget to moving forward to 2016!)

  • Some great resources on here, I'm excited to give it a go!
  • Evening all, big thanks to those who keep the GC threads up and running even over the festive period :)

Got paid early due to pay day falling on Christmas day so a few extra days to squeeze out of the budget with bf away for about 7 days in the month (non-consecutive this time).

Aiming for £130.00 running until 25th January

I went to Tesco and after using a shed load of vouchers all coming up to their expiry date and discounts etc I got over £100 worth of stuff for £78 - taking out Christmas bits/stocking fillers/an SD card I picked up for bf only £55.69 actually comes from the GC budget :) This includes 3 x formula, 6 baby food jars (emergency/quick need supplies for days she can't/won't have the same as us) and a bottle of my all time favourite wine!

Starting to really hammer so some savings in to the accounts from this month so if it's not budgeted for its not being bought! I've got a small budget for personal spends and am now saving over £200 per month in to various account to stop me from spending it on useless stuff!

Got most stuff in now, just need a few bits from Aldi which are cheaper/nicer from there :)

Hi can I go on an annual budget of £5200 please. I am hoping to come in under that by the end of the 2015. That means it will be £441.64 for Jan... My annual figure is more important though.

We are a family of four adults. I managed this in November as we were saving to go to Ikea, so I know I can do it again:)
We certainly have plenty of food in the freezer/store cupboard

I'll be starting my January budget tomorrow and it will run until 23rd January. Please could I be put down for my usual £320

I am planning on trying shopping from the butchers in the New Year, I'm going to go in and get some idea on prices for big joints to maybe try out some Mothership recipes. Plus it will make menu planning easier I hope as the butcher has a better range than A&C. I will still buy some stuff from them though (game, sausages, bacon, chicken).

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas :snow_grin :xmastree:
