I'm in again for £250, Looks as though I'm going to come in well under budget for December but anything leftover gets put into savings for household items, so each month starts afresh, iykwim.

Can you put me down for £150 please.

My January starts on the 12th, so a wee while to go. I appear to be managing ok this month on that amount - so far!

This is for 2 adults, 2 fat cats :D and visits from grown up sons every so often.
  • I'd like to join in with this please - we need to make some changes! I'm still working out what we actually spend, but please can you put me down for £300 for January? That'll be for me and DH and will include any takeaways, meals out etc.
  • £123 for January again, please

Thanks for starting us off for January Zippychick, and to Solstice_3 for the recipe links. After the December madness, I will be aiming for £250 from 27 December - 31 January, for all groceries, toiletries, cleaning products and pet food :)
  • Hi all, not done this challenge for a while and I have really slipped, I stopped tracking spends and really blew the bank. New Years resolution is to get back on track, thought this was a good place to start, so budget set at 300 for The calendar month of January to ease me back into it, as all Xmas food bought already and won't be spending again this month
  • The good news about being broke after Christmas (or before) is that it kicks your !!!! into gear on not spending so much - and really I spend WAY too much (money that could be spent on other things, like holidays!)

So, January is a six week month for me, running from 22nd December to 31 January.

The budget is £120 and it includes everything. And I do mean EVERYTHING. Toilettries, household bits - you name it - at £20 a week. I'm so glad my freezer has a fair amount of meat in it already!
    GC January 2015 - £0/£120
