10 NSDs clocked up. I really have to shopping today as no fresh fruit but will wait until reduction time.
I still have my £33 saved from last year and only two weeks to go will be thrilled if I manage it.Slimming World at target0 -
2 NSDs yesterday and today for me. Went to see the rents who sent me home with a tin of Cassoulet ( ) and some chocolate for baking.
Got a full meal plan for the week and a shopping list. OH is under instruction that we WILL be sticking to the list (save for exceptional bargains).
Used up some of my bargain stilton by making the biggest pan of Broc & Stilton soup so that's lunch for me and the hubs sorted for a couple of days. I WILL not buy lunch or breakfast this week from the canteen at work OR in general. How long til pay day?
March Grocery Challenge - £69.54 / £3000 -
Hi all, had hoped for an NSD, but really needed some veg to go with our roast lamb tonight. Just got carrots and parsnips from Ald* so spent £1.28. Will do our main weekly food shop tomorrow, didn't want to do it today as I had the kids with me!Grocery Challenge 2024

NSD here, which isn't hard seeing as it's a Sunday! Mind you, we did spend money on a new mattress yesterday.
Still foggy outside but have now taken down the tree. Will feel the need to light the fire before too long.0 -
I am on my third grocery NSD of the month and have no plans to go until Wednesday. We may need bread before then but as the kids are all back to school tomorrow I haven't got four kids lunches to make, which usually uses most of a loaf.
Meal number 3 from my monthly meal plan is cottage pie. I have assembled it all and just need to whack it in the oven 30mins before dinner-time

I did a smallish shop in Lidl yesterday which came to £21.90. I have updated my total accordingly.
I have done an inventory of my freezers this morning and shocked myself at how much we have in
Now to plan some meals to use some of it up!
I have an Ocado order arriving tomorrow morning, which I decided to place to use a £5 off a £40 shop and free delivery. It is things such as loo rolls, washing up liquid, tea and coffee etc (more than that obviously but those basic types of products). So I will need to update tomorrow as well. Should manage some more NSDs after that though!
Other than that, I am quite pleased with myself because the only item of food bought for the Christmas period that I have thrown away was half a tub of houmous0 -

You can freeze houmous, I often throw half a tub into the freezer to use later. It freezes really well and just needs a quick stir when defrosted.:)Jan NSD 4/15

Got the Christmas gammon (which we didn't use) out of the freezer this morning, letting it soak for few hours as it's smoked, will slow cook it tomorrow.
No spends on anything today even resisted the M&S sale as I don't really need anything. I think my new motto should be if I don't need it - don't buy it. I'm also going to keep a list of savings I have made this year by being frugal.0 -
