I have the opposite issue. We never seem to have much in. Because we eat it! If that doesn't sound ridiculous. We can spend £20 & 3 days later it will be down to crumbs and any leftovers I've frozen. And that's just with 1 child and 2 adults in the house. Does that make me an efficient food planner or am I not spending enough to keep a fuller fridge? Ho hum.

This month I've got £234 in the budget for 2 adults, which seems tight to me! But many of you have lower amounts for more people, which gives me hope. :)

    Welcome to the thread Kahra!!

Don't worry about what you spend vs other people, just aim for less than last month. That's what I do anyway.

Studying the recipe threads tonight for some inspiration, I always end up cooking the same things!

Spent £4.52 on YS stuff earlier.
MIL asked to go shopping for bargains and she had the best haul ever.
She got about 30 packs of meat / fish (including a small pork joint, chicken breasts, fish pie mix) and 4 carry bags of veg / fruit for… £1.83!
I got fruit for the week (peaches/grapes,apples) cabbage for the bunnies, 3 lots of fish pie mix, salmon, gyozas, sweet treats, a pizza, 2 pies, mackerel pate, 3 pots of salad (one with prawns), veg mix to make soup, mint, sausage rolls, 2 lots of brie and a couple of other bits I can't remember so I'm happy! Although wasn't intending on spending...

Another 2.75 in Wilks on superglue and a clothes dust remover thing. And popped into Waitrose who had lots of bits on half price so got the things we need, spent 18 including a bun tray that was 6. Good offers on coffee, actimel drinks I only bought things that were half price! Ald* tomorrow for remaining groceries for next week. Meals planned for week. I'm feeling positive I can come in under budget!
