£5 today on Nesquik (bf needs this for his nutrition shakes following the commands of the elite team nutritionist; at least it was on offer in Lidl!) a couple of tins of soup and some panini rolls to use with our new panini grill.
Been looking in my fridge/freezer and I need the following for meals the rest of the month: rice, chicken kievs, sausages, baked beans, smoked cheese, mince and either pizza bases or a reliable way to freeze homemade ones! need to find some meal inspiration too
ETA: anyone has experience of sainsburys morning reductions? I am off to compare the prices in a big sainsburys close by (technically the next town but closer than the one in our town as we are on the outskirts!) and am hoping to see a few ys floating round going in the morning!
Alo; need to make a few batches of soup for my lunches at work************************************

Hiya everyone - regulars, returners and new peoples :hello:
Gosh - that was a bit of a long trawl through seven pages and it's still only the 29th December
Thanks Zippy, Coxy and Solstice for running the thread, lists and recipes
I am going for £200 for January (1st - 31st) for DH and myself. That's for all grocery shopping, cleaning stuff and laundry.
We both have breakfast, pack-ups and a cooked meal everyday and mostly cooked from scratch. DH 'needs' meat most days so have to be a bit inventive
I'm in December until the very end so 'see' you all laters. Good luck with the challenge

hi Everyone I would like to join this forum my Target is £100 a month as from the 1st of January 2015 I live alone plus my cat I am starting off with a full fridge freezer a full chest freezer and a full stock cupboard so my plan is to run down my stocks so I don't think my spend will be very much for a few months so lets hope we all have a very Happy New YearLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs
Since first using Martins I have saved thousands0 -
DH did an inventory of chest freezer in the garage and we shouldn't need to buy any frozen veg or meat for a while. So far with left over turkey and ham, I've made two ham and turkey pies, two lots of turkey curry (and numerous sandwiches!) and have cooked the turkey carcass for soup stock. All the left over veg from Christmas dinner has also been turned into soup. My challenge will start on the 1st but from then on will be the 28th - pay day.Books - the original virtual reality.
