Morrisons ripped me off !

You appear to have misread the OP, they have refused a refund as they are in their rights to do if the only complaint is the price and there is nothing wrong with the item.
Had the OP not 'fired off an email' and ranted I'd have expected an email to have been forthcoming at store level - a lesson for the future in looking at the big picture and desired result rather than just losing one's rag0 -
How incredibly annoying for you OP!
However, I do have to agree with the majority that Morrisons haven't ripped you off. If it had said it was (for example) £39 on the shelf - and on the box - and then you had got home later and discovered they had charged you £59; then that would be different, and you would be entitled to £20 back.
But in this instance, it's just rotten luck (and yes unfortunately, your lack of price research first.)
When we bought a microwave last year; we visited 7 different stores (all within 2-3 miles of each other, so not a waste of petrol,) and caught a special offer at Sainsburys for a top make that is usually £80. They were selling it for £40! The same one was £80 in most other stores. I was very pleased with our bargain.
You do really need to shop around for stuff like this.No debt left now. Saved £111 in our sealed pot last year. And £272.13 this year! Also we have £2300 in savings. :j
SPC #468Target £250 for 2015.

Funnily enough if you had just returned it to the store directly and said that it was purchased as a gift by mistake and no longer wanted they would have probably refunded you there and then. All that glitters is not gold.0

Nice. What exactly did Morrisons do wrong here?

You weren't ripped off if you didn't do your homework and look for a cheaper price then that's not Morrisons fault, the title is very misleading. You should really watch what you're saying as you saw the price and were happy to pay it at the time and now you have a rant due to you not checking the internet first.Saving for Xmas 2015 #84 £163.00 ~ £365

They are currently selling Whole Salmon for £3.99 per KG. While other supermarkets ans shops are selling them for £10.00.
So people who bought who bought Salmon for £3.99 get ripp of then ...
It is always be the buyers best interest to do search/research before buying items ...0 -
Hi all
Just joined this forum to have a rant about Morrisons.
I have just been sacked by Morrisons and want to get them back.
Most people would have just returned the item for a refund, especially someone who shops there regularly.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
I saw this and expected it to be about someone being ripped off by Morrison's. I've read it now and that isn't the case at all.
I feel cheated and wronged!
Can I have my time back please?!0 -

There's no need to email anyone whatsoever... Walk into Morrisons, go to the customer service, hand over the item with receipt and say "Hi, can I get a refund for this please?". They will ask why/if it's broken and you can simply reply "no it's unopened, I've just seen it cheaper elsewhere". Or if you don't want to go to the trouble of buying it somewhere else first, "no, I've just changed my mind".
Though why anyone needs to be walked through that process I have no idea!0
