Just applied for one of those money transfer cards I heard about on the mse show last night. They've given me £4100 credit which means I can put all of my debt on there and hammer it all off of one card

    Well happy :)

I did the same last year, same limit too and if it it's a silver Card, the same!

I'll be making additional payments nearer the end of the month. I really need to crack on with my PPI claims! (I have hopes that I could halve the debt if I was successful).

It's definitely worth doing - my DH couldn't be bothered but I could and got about £1800 back after a bit of a wait! It's just filling in a few pages and sending it in. Not bad for a few hours work :)

Thank you both. I've located the relevant paperwork, read Martin's advice and even begun to fill in forms/draft letters. I suppose I don't want to get it finished in case I'm not successful! Ridiculous, isn't it?

Have you looked into glasses direct or any of the other online opticians? I got my eye test done (for free!) at Specsavers then ordered glasses and sunglasses online - just the other week they had a groupon for £23 including postage for two pairs of specs  Would definitely recommend glasses direct - and they have half price offers like every month (and you can get cashback through quidco!)

Mine are Excel. I looked into YNAB this year but my spreadsheets already do everything I need them to and my spends one works on a similar principle of budgeting for everything and then recording the spends against each category.

Thank you Fmess... I tried the free trial of YNAB but was not 100 % on it so I reluctant to spend £35 on it at the moment.

With regards to the spread sheet would anybody have a template I could look at so i can get the ball rolling .

Will be paying money off at the end of the month as waiting for payday :)
