Hello Pablosammy,
Thank you very much!
I will probably update on a monthly basis (probably around the 25th of the month) as I make a monthly payment to Stepchange (I am on a DMP).

I got my eye test done (for free!) at Specsavers then ordered glasses and sunglasses online - just the other week they had a groupon for £23 including postage for two pairs of specs  Would definitely recommend glasses direct - and they have half price offers like every month (and you can get cashback through quidco!)
I've never tried them! What is the quality like?
I'm hoping my work still does the free vouchers and discounts, I got sunglasses and glasses two years ago with the reflective stuff on (for driving) and it worked out fairly cheap.0 -
Doing my sums and Im looking at an extra £900 in bills between January payday and March payday, flipping Nora.
2x car tax, 2x car insurance, glasses, 2 tyres and brake pads for my car, and OHs car MOt plus whatever repairs need doing (hopefully none!)
I'll be in the corner crying! Thank god there's council tax free months to help soften the blow!
The good news is by paying the insurance off in one go we will be around £60 a month better off and I'll have finished paying the sofas, an extra £50... And Oh finishes paying his little debt in April so that adds £60 too. Gonna be a tough few months but should be back on track in April and I can think about paying down the car debt!
I'm still hopeful for a payrise in April too... It would help a bit.0 -
That is a lot in just a few months. I hope it works out ok for you.
I'm just grateful my insurance and MOT come the month after I get a bonus from work (hopefully) so I manage to pay it in 1 go rather than monthly.0 -
#115 checking in again... I decided to (kinda) bite the bullet! Have made an extra payment today of £250 which doesn't quite clear the nxt account but does get it out of my current account and stops it from being wasted on rubbish. I'm still aiming to clear the nxt account by the end of the month. My totals are now
553.97/42290 -
Oh no, that's a storm of bills! I'm looking forward to these council tax free months too, although they're over before you can blink!
Good luck with the pay rise. We've just been told that last year's pay deal, which the unions have been negotiating since June last year (!), has finally been accepted. So, eight months of back pay will come in the February pay packet. It won't be much but should cover most of my car insurance. :T0 -
Payday and direct debits started to go out, new total:
#090 £645.91 / £10,156.75 - 6.36% Paid0 -
Working in the charity sector, pay is not great and you don't get bonuses so have to hope like hell for a promotion:rotfl:0
