  • Quite a few people on the past debt free by xmas threads did - they're a free credit check agency a bit like experian/equifax but you get a rating out of 5 instead of 1000 so there's not quite as much info on there - still pretty helpful though :D

Never been on there before but just an account, thanks OP!!

I used to pay experian once a year just to see how I was doing, very pleased I don't have to do that anymore :D

Update :) just paid off what was owed on my rent, now in credit by £180 odd and starting to tackle the 800 odd on my Argos account :D

Total owing £6045, thanks all, keep it up z

I'm doing awful. I've also had two takeaways this week and they were both horrible! at least it's put me off having any more haha

I wish payday would hurry up. ..

One thing I've noticed in recent months is that, whereas a few years ago, my attitude was "it's just a tenner", nowadays I want value for my pound. Before, I would just jump in the car if I wanted something quickly, or just even for a drive, whereas now I'm conscious of the cost of the petrol it's going to take to get there and back, even if it's only going to cost £3-£4.

It's not so much from having debt - most of it business related, so at least I can see where the money has gone. Just a gradual "evolution", due to having had a fairly static income for more years than I care to remember.
  • I've put tonights insomnia to good use and have worked out the spare money available in my account, throwing it all at the huge debt on my Halifax credit card.

    So that's a whopping great £7.77 paid off!:rotfl:

That's why I obtain my £2 statutory report instead! No salespeopLe hassling me

I needed a full credit report and score which was on the free for 30 day subscription. Just so difficult to cancel it.

I use noddle for everything else.

to be fair the score doesn't mean anything, everything you need to know is on the statutory report :j

we check noddle regularly but i don't think that many places use callcredit for checks, usually experian and equifax.

my bank account gives me access to free equifax reports which is handy! we need to get OH's statutory experian report at some point to see what's what and if it's showing the same as equifax and callcredit

its still 17 days until my payday  i'll count down to OH's instead, it's only 13 days away :rotfl:

And we're eventually off the starting blocks .... 1st payment made!!! Haven't got the heart to add on the £3200 I've just borrowed off parents to buy new car, lol! Tackling the old debts first.

  • Hello everyone  Sorry I've not been on for a couple of days, been mad busy. Unfortunately I've no more payments to report yet but I've managed to get 5 NSD's (No Spend Days) this month so far so doing well.

I've also increased my credit limit by £1000 on my Tesc0 credit card but there's madness in my method! Usually if I pay off some money then they offer me a 0% balance transfer deal. Well, I've paid off £1000 and gained £1000 by upping the credit so hopefully they'll send me a letter so I can transfer some from my barclaycard which is costing me a lot in interest  Even if they don't then at least I have a lower "untilised credit to available" so I should be able to apply for a 0% credit card sooner anyway :T

I'll have to catch up on the thread later as I've just popped on here to say hi :D Hope you're all doing well :A xxx
