  • Well I failed spectacularly at paying off any debt and in fact increased it by over £1000. I'm working now though, and will be debt-free by Christmas 2016. I'm off to change my signature and get onto the new thread.

  • Hi everyone, just popping in to say well done for all your debt payments this year, and good luck for those going forward!

I will be bowing out from the challenge next year due to family commitments, however we only owe money to family, who recognise our situation, and that things may be sporadic.

Congratulations on all you achievements this year!

So I havent quite got exact totals yet but I believe I have done about 50% of my debt which I am incredibly pleased with. I will update soon when hubby is home and I can check his credit card. I am so proud of what hubby and I have achieved, working as a team has made things much easier. I will continue next year to clear the debt entirely!! Good luck everyone for 2016!!!

  • Merry Christmas everyone.

Amazingly I am now debt-free, my last payment went out today :j

Thanks to everyone on this thread for your incredible support. I've been a member of this challenge for two years now and it's been a great motivator to keep going.

The goal for 2016 now will be to build up some savings for the first time ever!

Cheers and happy debt-busting to everyone who'll be on the 2016 thread

    Hi
Apologies, I've been AWOL from this site & thread for ages. I've still been making payments but haven't quite reached my target:

    #135 Pay All your debt 2015 paid £4,300/ £6,000 = 71.67%

I promise to try harder next year - please may I rejoin? I'm happy to have a new number if necessary. At present, I think my target will be £3,000 but I will confirm this with you shortly.

Thanks and merry Christmas to all.

A vision without a plan is just a dream.
  • Evening all! I'm back from a week with my dad in darkest Norfolk, so will tot up the total this evening. Well done everybody... merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!
